ka-bam! part 2 Unfortunately, things did not end as happily as in my last entry. The Flu returned with a vengeance, and swept me off my feet in a very non-romantic way. At dinner tonight, everything was making me feel sick. My mum was talking about the chicken she was going to cook tomorrow night, and in my head I was thinking, "Chicken? CHICKEN?! How can you talk about chicken at a time like this?" I think that I was slightly delirious.
Being sick has been a blessing, though. If I hadn't been so sick, I don't think that I would have cleaned my room or started on my major project or been able to reflect on the craziness of the past two years. AND, it's given me a lot of opportunities to read the Bible. Now, I just have to make sure that I get better before the FEVA Mid Year Conference (our annual Bible study retreat week) next week! I can't think of any more strategies, though. I've tried pretending I'm not sick, I've tried painkillers and orange juice....well, I guess that there's always the doctor's. Sigh. I suppose that every superhero secret agent chick needs a little help every now and then. |
