    Time Event
    8:42p
the update, the lowdown, the reminiscing
My times so far can be summarised as follows:

    WORK
I'm working more now. I didn't realise that uni was still kinda on. Oops. So today, instead of sitting around in Vis ID class, I was standing around at work pretending to do things. It was so quiet! Things are very exciting at the moment, though. We are launching the new Harry Potter book on Saturday, June 21st, and I will probably be doing a reading for little kids! Isn't that exciting? I don't know if I'll be reading the old books or the new one, but WHO CARES? I'll get to dress up as one of the characters! I'll get to do some acting at work! If you (dear reader) are around, you TOTALLY have to come by and watch! And bring any small friends you might have! I shall update you here if it is to eventuate. We were trying to convince our new French business manager (ie. boss of the department) why this was a great idea, and he said, "I do not get eet. Eet ees just a book." And we gasped, and said, "JUST a book?!"

    THE PARTY
Ro and Meg had their birthday party! It was at Ro's place. She has such an interesting house...there are so many curious things to look at. Ro turned up to my place early to pick me up (isn't that nice? She was picking me up to go to HER OWN PARTY!), and I was still doing my hair. I begged her to let me crimp her hair, but alas, the answer was no, no, no, no, "I'll look like a mop!". I thought that I would know everyone there, so I wore my tiara. There were people there who I thought I had never met before, but they remembered me. That was because the last time they saw me, I was prancing around a church garden, blowing bubbles and dressed as a fairy. Ro had this massive TV screen and a karaoke thing happening, and I wasn't very interested in it. But once I got up there, I turned into a karaoke MONSTER! And, mind you, that was AFTER Meg and I had danced to Avril (we even had corresponding dance moves! Freaky!)- and so my voice was all gone! I sounded like a pubescent BOY! I so wouldn't have made it past the first round of "Popstars"! Ro and I ended up chatting in the car when she was dropping me home. Bedtime: 4am.

    SUNDAY
It was the Sunday I had dreamed of for a long time. Waking up late, washing my clothes, reading the Bible, feeling sleepy and happy and ordinary. Not doing uni work! Not going to work! Hurrah!

    CHURCH
Church is most excellent. I finally went to Petersham Evening Church, after not going to any church for about 4 weeks or so. Just cos uni and the rest of my life went a bit psycho. But it was so great to worship God and learn more about Him. And I totally dig all the people there. I really feel like I fit in with them. Xenia was there, which was very exciting! I always love seeing her.

    THE BIRD
We started to get worried when Squeaky started to hang out at the bottom of her cage so much. Usually she's singing like crazy and perching on things and eating everything in sight. Ro said that Squeaky was sick. This morning, I got out of bed and looked sleepily into Squeaky's cage. There, underneath her puffed-up belly, WAS AN EGG. I was completely shocked, because I didn't know that girl birds could have eggs without a boyfriend! Well, it turns out that THEY CAN! "Find out everything you can about this, Carla," my Mum instructed me, handing over a book entitled "Lovebirds". But I didn't get too far into the book. One should never read about bird ovaries and runny poo while eating their cereal and drinking their morning cup of tea. It was too much biology, too early in the morning. Especially for someone who failed year nine science (hey, I was too busy writing and illustrating an epic adventure in my friend's diary).

And here is the summary of the season, in no particular order.
