    Time Event
    3:45p
    "baaarm barrrm-barrm-ba-dum, baarm-barrm-barrm-barrm..."
Is this weather crazy or what? Yesterday, it was really cold and rainy. I kept stepping in puddles accidentally and the bottoms of my pink cords got all gross and wet! I think that they might still be soggy even now. On the way to the city, I think that my bus driver was having a bit of a ball- he kept driving close to the edge of the road so that these mini-tsunamis rose up onto the footpath. Maybe he was pretending he was on one of the rides in Disneyland or something. Today has been pretty kaleidoscopic- clear sunshine through the red leaves, bursts of rain, blue sky making a laid-back diva-like appearance every now and then. It's definitely getting colder, though. I have this scruffy grey woolly jumper that I always promise myself I will never wear for another winter, but it's out again, teamed up with my new magenta pantalons de jogging (that's French for "trackpants").

Yesterday was one of those days when all I wanted to do when I got home was eat! Which I did, of course. My Mum was such a sweetie and made all of this nice food. Today I've been working away at some illustrations for uni. This is the first illustration work I've done this year for uni! And possibly, this year full stop. It's been good taking a break- I'd been working pretty intensely on drawing for three years. There's heaps of uni work to do, though! I'm so relying on God to get me through the next few weeks. I want to keep focussing on Him and other people, and not get consumed by uni work.

    Three secrets relating to music:
    > This morning, the first song I listened to was "These Days", from Bardot's first album! I was so crazy about the first series of Popstars! I wanted to audition, but I was too young!
    > I really like that new Justin Timberlake song, "Rock Your Body"! Especially when he does that vocal percussion bit! Am I twelve years old, or what? When I turned on the TV this morning while I was eating my cereal, I got really excited because that clip was on the music channel!
    > I really like Mandy Moore, especially those songs, "Candy" and "Crush". They are so girly and poppy!

Oh hey, read what Cameron sent me yesterday!

"Congratulations! You have been given the opportunity of having a wonderful winter escape to (not Boomerang Beach, but) Terrigal!!! Close to train and ferry, this is one of the best places in the world to take in God's creation- cycling, bush-walking, strolling along the beach and sipping a coffee at one of the many shops. Nights will be filled with 500, scum, public reading of a Harry Potter, videos, reading. Do things with the others in the group or just doing your own thing- its up to you."

Crazy, or what? I am so excited! I am so THERE! I phoned work to find out if stocktake was on at that time, and it's not! Hurrah! I think I might go for four days, five if I'm feeling reckless.

Oh, and did you know that it's Mother's Day on Sunday? I totally forgot! What is with me? Everywhere at work, there are these green floral banners (quite nice, actually) that say "Mother's Day" on them in this swanky lower-case type. Plus I was organised and have already bought my Mum a present. But did I remember that it was on this Sunday? Nooooooo!

I have a meeting with my teacher Jeremy for my dissertation tomorrow. I'm scared he will say, "That was really entertaining, but this is a work of fiction, and not a dissertation. Go back and write it again and read all of those psychology books!"
