Day off! Ugh.
I've had a nasty cold since Friday, and of course it's killed any hopes I had of working out this weekend.
To boot, my in-laws came up on Friday, which equalled food, food, food. They are appetizer, bread basket, dinner, dessert people. Fun. And they always make a big deal of me not eating dessert.
Friday I had...greek salad and a cup of soup. Saturday I had...soup and steak. Sunday I had pizza.
Fortunately I drank very, very little this weekend, so that at least is a plus, and I've been doing really well as far as not eating after dinner, which is obviously a plus.
It was tough this weekend because I felt like I had to be "on," and I just felt like crap to be honest.
Today, I'm hoping to do some stretches, crunches, and maybe some arm weights...a sun salutation if I feel up to it, which I probably won't. My big hope is that I feel mostly better tomorrow when I have to go back to work.
The super good thing is that this week is a break week, meaning there is no session, which is awesome. No pressure, no meetings, no suits. This all means that at the very least, I should be able to walk for 30 minutes a day during lunch, which will be great. Hurray!
In other news, I bought too much stuff. I saw this link on fitsugar, and I bought those weirdly shaped mbt shoes or whatever they're called, and they're supposed to give you awesome toning results when you walk in them. Anyhow, they're normally like $250, and I got them for about $130. I'm going to wear them on my office walks! Woo hoo! I also bought a ton of spring clothes in bright, fun, cute colors, and I can't wait to get my hands on them. Spring colors are such a help in fighting the winter blues. =)
No more shopping though. No more.
I finished my first knitting project! My first scarf! It's purplish, and it's super cute. I'm almost done with D's, and it looks way better than mine, I have to admit, because I'm already a lot better than I was when I first started out.
And now....It's time to cuddle my dog and knit. |
