Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Today I made D breakfast for Valentine's Day, so I didn't have my typical yogurt.
Bfast: 1 egg, 3 turkey sausages (1 serving), 1 piece diet toast
Lunch: Veggie salad w/ lf balsalmic dressing
Bvg: Low sodium V8
Snack: Orange
Dinner: something from
hereThoughts on what I should get for dinner???? (keep in mind I can't do nuts) I'm thinking the salad (the salmon one) and either the salmon dinner or the filet...the scallops sound good too though! For dessert, I don't know what to do...I have chocolate dipped strawberries at home, so those are out. Argh. Of course there will be wine and champagne.
Yesterday I had:
Bfast: non fat organic yogurt
Lunch: 1 cup vegan chili
Snack: 1 medium banana
Snack: 1/2 turkey sandwhich on diet bread
Dinner: 2 skinless chicken thighs & mushrooms, steamed broccoli, 1 serving brown rice
And that's it.
Also, I succeeded in doing my 15 minutes. I did 3 sets of 12-15 of bent rows (20lbs), bench press (40 lbs), and squats (20 lbs), and I did a zillion crunches on the ball. So go me...a 15/20 minute total body blitz. I feel pretty good about that.
Today I'm going to do my 30 minute walk downstairs, and I'm going to do it tomorrow too. I figure I have to do what I can because my inlaws are coming this weekend, and I don't know how much exercise I'm going to be able to fit in....I mean maybe a few brief dvd workouts or something, but I doubt I'll get to the gym. We'll see.
Thankfully, my guts seem to have returned to order. Basically it seems like mid cycle, my ovaries double in size and cause intense pain, not only due to the cysts, but because they're pressing on everything else, and it seriously messes up everything. Stomach pain, back pain, lower abdominal pain, gas, nausea, digestive...issues, bloating, you name it. Fortunately it only seems to last for about a week or so, and everything seems to have returned to normal. I'm telling you, men have it so damn easy. *sigh*
Anyhow, I'm feeling kinda thinnish today. Granted, that will all be gone tomorrow as I'm having drinks tonight, but right now, I'm feeling good.
Gah.
I'm feeling way tired today, probably becaue I've been staying up WAY too late, which is just stupid. I've been dragging ass for days, and I haven't been able to drag my ass out of bed to save my life. Ugh. Of course, now I feel like I'm coming down with something. Fun. Today I'm going to drink mega water and green/white tea to try to head it off. I hate being sick.
I can't tell if there's something wrong with my headphones or with my ipod. Of course, since my headphones are like ten years old and super cheap, I'm really hoping it's the phones. Everything's all skippy and weird, and it sounds like everything is sort of under water, which is not good. I mean, on some songs it actually does sound sort of cool in a trippy, effects driven sort of way, but you know what I mean. Generally, not cool.
My knitting kicks ass. I finished my two hour scarf in approximately...three days. Apparently I'm slow, but it looks really nice. It's totally wearable, and not in an embarassing, ugly sort of way. I'll post some pics if I get around to it. I'm now working on earwarmers... like the kind that are like a glorified cozy headband that goes around your ears, you know? I don't like hats because they crush my curs and give me hat head from hell, and that's just not cool. Hopefully it works out.
Last night I watched Breaking Bad, and it was actually pretty good, although it was kind of weird to watch someone cooking meth and smoking glass on tv, but whatever. It's not like it's a secret or anything as anyone with internet connection can find out how to make and use it, so whatever.
Of course, I also watched Project Runway....unsurprising. Can I just say I'm so damn sick of Romi's draping? I mean he's really good at it, but UGH! He needs to bring it.
Okay, and now I'm going to walk before I can't. If I wait, something always comes up.
