And other stuff.
This entry will not be about food.

1. So, for whatever reason, I have recently been enamoured with the idea of knitting...mostly because I feel like I waste so much time and have nothing to show for it. The internet, tv, cooking, eating, cleaning....all things that you do that are just....time sinks. You do them, and the food is gone (though the evidence remains), the house gets dirty, whatever. It's that just no one makes....things...anymore. So, after thinking about it for awhile, Bill and I went to Joanne's, and we bought a shit load of knitting supplies despite the fact that neither of us knew how to knit. Being a visual learner, I decided to buy a dvd on knitting, the "No Rules Knitting in the Teen Knit Cafe," to be precise, and yes, it is just as funny as it sounds.. Anyhow, I'm almost done with my first scarf, and it's awesome! Surprisingly, it's not that tough. Also, this means that everyone will be getting ugly, homely knitted items from me instead of real presents, and I will expect everyone to fawn all over them and wear my unattractive trinkets of love because they were made by hand. Ha!

2. Somehow, Bill, D, and I are friends again like nothing happened. It's kind of odd, but we hung out all weekend. I can't make heads or tails of it. I mean, I guess it's good. It's not exactly the same. His dog doesn't hang out with Mugs during the day while we're at work, but he did come over a bunch, and we ran errands together, and when he hung out at the house, his dog came over then, so yeah.

3. I bought a cappucino/espresso/latte maker. It's awesome. Now I get to have lattes every weekend without paying those bastards at Starbucks inordinate amounts of money to make my latte with whole milk and sugar even though I always order a non fat latte, and yes, I realize it's completely insane to think that the baristas are in league against me, but they are.

4. Money is good, and I haven't bought anything yet.

5. My doctors gave me a cd of my neck MRIs, and I decided after looking at them that I'm way too much of a hypochondriac to look at them anymore because I don't know what any of it meaannnnnns.

6. Work continues to be annoying. Now we are in three day session, which means I have to dress up three days a week, which means death. Also, my office is really cold. (Note to self, KNIT GLOVES....as soon as I learn to knit gloves.)

7. On the other hand, my desk kicks ass, and I even think I could fit my little bike thing here. Hmmmmmmm...

8. Other good stuf...Next week there is no session, which is awesome!

9. I bought Jamie a bassinet for her shower, and it's a fancy one that vibrates and plays music and makes light shows and does all sorts of other stuff, and she loved it!

10. My skin looks awesome.

11. My boss before my last boss (Boss once removed? twice removed?) lent me the fourth Harry Potter book. Hurray!

And now...I have to get ready for meetings. And stuff.
