The good news though is that classes are OVER! I'm so excited about that.
Okay. So here's the big news.....
Our landlord has offered to sell us the building!!!!
We really, really, really, really want to. The only thing is we're both in school, and D is obviously only working part time. I think we could scrape the money together for the down payment, but it's going to be a bitch making the mortgage payments for at least a year, until D has a real job.
The thing is though, it would be beyond perfect. It has three apartments, so we could collect rental income from two of them. Provided that they were rented out, everything would be awesome. If we wanted, we could even move into the totally gorgeous downstairs apartment. It's two floors (all hardwood!), has three bedrooms and an office...it's totally amazing, and we so need the space. We could stay there for years, and the market's really not going to get any better than this.
Of course, this is totally going to mean a shopping moratorium for yours truly.
Like....a real one. A real, true shopping moratorium.
Today I made my last online purchase. That's it. Fin. End. Done. How the hell am I not going to buy anything? I love buying things! I mean, I guess I can still buy my moisturizers and that sort of thing, but really, that's it.
What this really means is NO MORE CLOTHES. *Dies*
The very thought horrifies me, but it must be done.
Of course, there's also the issue of Bill. I'm betting he'll move out and stiff us on the rent. I'm kind of afraid he'll trash the apartment. Actually, I already know that his dog has really screwed up the doors and the carpet and stuff.
And of course there's the issue of the bees that are still in the walls....so...yeah. I have a few reservations, but all in all, it's super exciting!
Ok, now onto other things.
Yesterday I had a 5 1/2 hour meeting on insurance. It was the teleconference from hell. Seriously, it was interesting for the first three hours or so, but then it just became increasingly more painful.
So, I'm having a meeting with the Insurance Chair next week, and then it should be mine! Yay! Officially! Excitement! *Does a little dance*
Still feeling kind of skinny, although workouts have been dreadful this week.
I think I'm going to go home early, walk Mugs outside, and maybe lift weights and do some yoga and pilates.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to go to the gym.
Today I wanna take care of some boring stuff that's kinda been hanging around work-wise. We'll see.
