So far so good. I'm sitting here drinking my coffee, mentally getting ready to go into work.
Friday was annoying. Every year Bill holds a holiday party. Last year, we co-hosted. It looked like the party was off this year, but on Friday, he sent an evite out inviting everyone to the bar around the corner for a holliday happy hour....everyone but us that is. Anyhow, we were really pissed off because that's just civility. We're neighbors, and it's at a bar, a public place, and it's just a big work party. Plus, everyone's going to be like..."Where are Nichole and D?" because we're known to be friends, and I'm sure he's going to say some lame, assholeish stuff as to why we're not there. Anyhow, we kind of saw that as the final straw, so when we got home, we disconnected his free internet and cable that he'd been getting from us because....well, if he can't do something nice that would cost him nothing, why should we do that for him? I'm not sure if this was too mean of a thing to do, but we figured, if we're not friends enough for him to invite us to an office happy hour, than we sure as hell aren't good enough friends for him to scrub free internet and tv. So annoying.
Friday's party was nice. I wore my purple silk dress, and I looked f'ing adorable. Weird thing though, one of my friends told me that they recently changed all their sizing schemes, and she was totally right. I can still fit in my size 2 dresses from last season, but this season, a size 4 fits perfectly. D's pants from last season fit perfectly, but this season, he needed a size up. Perhaps they're getting rid of vanity sizing? I'd say I'm just getting fat, except I still fit in the sizes from last season, so....?
Anyhow, I looked fab. The party got out early, and D and I came home, and I had a bit too much to drink at home. Better at home than at the party I guess. The sucky thing is that I ended up losing half a day to the hangover I woke up with on Saturday. Ugh. This resulted in a late start on the paper that's due tomorrow, and of course there was no workout to be had.
Whatever. Saturday was spent recovering and workign on my paper.
Sunday was alright. D and I went to the gym, and I had a really good workout...45 mins on the elliptical. We stopped by Price Chopper briefly, went home, and started working on our respective school work. Gah. School is so lame. I can't even be bothered to make up these bullshit papers anymore. I mean seriously. I don't want to write them. Surely my profs don't want to read them, so why don't we just call it a day already????
To make things easy, I made a totally delicious take on chicken tikkah masala in the crock pot. Chunked skinless chicken breasts, canned lentils, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, low fat organic plain yogurt, garam masala, curry, tumeric, ginger, garlic, and salt.....I let it cook for about 3-4 hours and served it over steamed brown rice. Yum!
I worked on my paper for awhile. I have about 5-6 pages, and it's due tomorrow. I think I'd like to have a bit over 10 pages of text, not counting the endnotes or the appendix. That should suffice. That's pretty much what I'm going to be doing today, which is why I'm updating now. NO BLURTY AT WORK! I have to focus all day at work because I have class tonight, and I have meetings tomorrow, so...yeah. It's all about today.
D has suddenly decided he wants to go low carb, which is so annoying. He loves carbs, and this is just going to bottom line at him bitching at him when I have to remind him that low carb means forgoing pizza, pasta, bread, cereal, and booze. Ugh. Super fun.
Anyhow, my plan today is to
1. Work on my paper forever.
2. Go for a 30 minute walk.
3. Do toning bands.
4. Do timesheets.
5. Go to class.
My workout plan for this week is:
1. 30 minute walk + toning bands on Monday
2. 30 minute walk + toning bands on Tuesday
3. Gym/cardio on Wednesday
4. Full body weights on Thursday
5. 30 minute walk + pilates on Friday (party on Friday)
6. Cardio + lower body weights on Saturday or Sunday.
7. One day off.
Dietwise, I'm trying to drink 1-2 days a week, and I'm eating salad for lunch every day. I have another party on Friday, and I want to look fab.
I so don't want to do an hour long presentation on my paper tomorrow. This is beyond lame. The good news is that after tomorrow, I don't have to go to class for like a month!!!! I still have a take home examm to do, but whatever. No class=heaven.
Now all I have to do is find the other half of this paper. Wish me luck.
