Thuuuuursday Thursday!!
Friday is so close I can taste it. I am so ready. Not that I've been hard at work or anything. I was out on Monday with a sinus/head cold thing, and they told me to stay home because they didn't want it, and it's the slow time of year, so...I came back to work yesterday. *shrugs*
My office is really taking shape, the physical office I mean. I finally got a cork board put up on the divider between me and my colleague's desk, so I have a bunch of my stuff on it, which is cool. My plants are all doing well, and I had the secretary order a new air purifier for my office area because our air quality is crap. I love it! It's a huge, quiet hepa that filters down to .03 microns or something, so I dig it. Because I work in such an old building, which is questionably clean/maintained, I'm kind of weird about air quality. People have been known to get upper respiratory mold infections here, and I think some areas of the building still have asbestos....And, this guy in maintenace built me an awesome radiator cover so my stuff won't catch fire because of that damn radiator. It's really cool actually! Yay office!
So, people are already calling me for my new job, but I don't have it yet. Word really spreads fast around here. I talked to my boss about it, and he said he hopes to have everything finalized soon. *Crosses fingers*
So...Project Runway??? Love it. I couldn't believe yesterday. Wow! I dont' want to say more in case people haven't seen it. Personally, I think Victorya, Rami, and Jillian might be the final three, and I think Rami will win. I am sick of Victorya's shapeless dresses. UGH!
I should be working on my paper and presentation, which are due on Tuesday, but....I really don't want to. How lazy am I? Maybe I'll work on them this afternoon, at least put an hour in, you know?
I'm in the midst of PMS hell. Painfull boobs, mild moodiness, and of course, cravings for bad foods and bloating. FUN! I'm totally ready to shoot myself. D has an office holiday party tomorrow, and I want to look fabulous, damnit. I do not want to look like some hormonal puff-ball. Ugh! I want my period NOW. I hate it because it sucks, but it instantly de-puffs me. Ugh. It sucks. When I was younger, this didn't used to happen. My period would come and go, and I wouldn't triple in size or want to tear my boobs off. All I can say is thank God for the calcium trifeta, fish oil, chamomile tea, and motrin. They help with the pain and moodiness, but not the bloating, but it's better than nothing.
Yesterday didn't necessarily help. Well, it wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either. Bfast: a bit of chicken (I woke up late, so I ate some of lunch for breakfast while I was packing lunch.) Lunch: salad w/ greens, grilled chicken breast, broccoli, grape tomatoes, and low fat dressing Snack: the rest of the salad (it was a HUGE salad) Dinner: burger with blue cheese and mushrooms and about 3/4 of a Guinness. I didn't eat any of my fries, and I decided against mayo or bacon, figuring that the cheese was enough. Of course there were apps- cheese fries and boneless wings. I had a bit of each, but not too much. And Guinness only has 125 cals per pint.
Inexplicably, we are now friends with Bill again. Basically he said that while he was coming off his meds, he became totally unglued for about a month, and now he feels more stable finally. Things aren't quite the way they were, and we're not friends on myspace, but he came over yesterday, and we did dinner at the pub.
I guess the good thing is that I didn't eat much all day, and I didn't eat anything afterwards. Plus, I walked for 30 minutes at work, and I lifted weights at home. Mostly I stuck to abs and upper body. I did 2x12 for lats and bench press, 3x12 for biceps, triceps, military press, bent flies, and forward/side lateral raises, and I did a bunch of ab exercises on the ball. So that's good.
Today has to be stellar though because it's the pre-party day. Obviously I'm walking 30 minutes at work during lunch, and D and I are going to the gym where I will do cardio forever. Hopefully that will help out with the bloat and any other of this week's indiscretions.
Today: Bfast: lox on diet toast Lunch: 1/2 salmon salad from Panera (not eating the bread) 170 cals Snack: other 1/2 of salad 170 cals (<3 the internet) Dinner: unagi bowl- brown rice, cucumber, avocado, unagi, and the tiniest dash of low sodium soy sauce
I'm really ramping up the omega 3s as you can see...lack of sunlight+pms+finals= yuck.
Tomorrow I will walk 30 minutes at work,and I will do a quick set of arms and abs. For food: Bfast: 1/2 Odwalla smoothie Lunch: 1/2 Odwalla smoothie Snack: hard boiled egg Party
I just don't want to be bloated in my dress! GAH!
This weekend, I want to go for cardio on Saturday, and go for an hour yoga class on Sunday. Obviously, I want to start hitting the gym hard, but it's cool because it seems like D is pretty motivated to go to the gym too, so that's good.
