Playing hooky. Today I am not going in to work.
Just not feeling it.
Tomorrow, I have the day off, but I am working at the election site as a poll watcher from 6am-9pm, and I have class tonight, so I'm really just not feeling the whole class thing so much. Meh.
It's cool though-for working tomorrow, I get like $200. = )

I just finished an intermediate yoga dvd, and man, it was way harder than any of the beginner's ones or the Denise Austin yoga dvds, which was what I wanted. I've been feeling very tense, and this was just what I needed to loosen up. I'm trying to integrate at least one hour of yoga into my weekly workouts...
I'm having a hard time doing the inverted poses though, which sucks. If anyone has any tips on these, that would be great, because I'm jsut having a hard time even getting into the pose. I'm fairly confident that if I could get in them, I'd be strong enough to stay in them, but at this point, I'm doing soemthing wrong, and it's not happening.
All my other poses are up to snuff though. My stretches are all good. My backbends and forward bends are all pretty decent, and my sun salutations are solid, but damn those inversions! Ugh.
Otherwise, I've been playing with Mugs. I think I'm going to go walk him for a bit, take a shower, make the quiche I didn't have time to make yesterday, and eat lunch, and do some reading for tonight's class while my quiche bakes. Not in that order, but whatever! Good times!
Yesterday we went to my parents' house for dinner. Good times as usual. Of course I drank too much wine. Not like...drunkenness too much, just too much in terms of calories. Fortunately my portions were pretty decent, but the fact that she cooked white pasta was kind of disappointing. Ugh. Bottom line: I have to be good today. NO PROCESSED STARCHES!
Today: Bfast: 1 cup Odwalla organic chocolate soy smoothie, 2 shots Pom Lunch: 1 crown raw broccoli, roasted turkey breast Snack:1 cup soy smoothie Dinner: veggie chili & baked potato Dessert: kiwi
And now, I'm going to eat my lunch, have some lemon water, and walk the pupparoo!
