YES!
I just saved so much money. I rock.
I ordered the books for my Monday class. I saved money because they were on sale. I got expedited shipping for free; I had a ten dollar coupon, and I got 3% back for school from Upromise. Four books, forty dollars. Yeah!
So yeah, I get way too excited about saving money.
Anyways, news flash: today, I am not sore from running, which is awesome!
This morning, I was really tired, so I decided to sleep in because I couldn't get the car and get to my pilates class anyways because D needed it to go to school. Grrr...
Anyhow, I did 3x12 of biceps, triceps, shoulders, and lats (rows), so I didn't do too bad. Plus, I'm going to leave work a bit early, and my plan is to start veggie chili for dinner and do a pilates dvd while it simmers before I go to class. Then I will have done one of my two upper body workouts AND my pilates. I'll have to do 3x12 of bench press and errr I'm not sure what they're called? Reverse flies maybe? The ones for the backs of the shoulders...anyways, I need to do those to finish of my upper body workout, and then I'm good to go.
I think I might step out for a little walk over lunch as well. It's key on class days, because then I pretty much end up sitting from 9-9 except for whatever I force myself to do.
ROAR! I'm going to get in amazing shape.
I'm trying to focus on losing size, not merely weight. I want to gain more muscle/tone and just tighten up and maybe lose five pounds in total.
Basically, all I really want is to fit in my size 2 pants.
But at the same time, I don't want to lose all the benefits I've gained from eating better.
My skin looks so much better than I did before. I can't emphasize that enough.
It's not just the fact that my skin glows, although it does...my skin even breaks out less, probably because my hormones are more balanced due to eating better.
I'm not anemic any more.
My nails grow so quickly that I can't even keep up with them.
These are good things. I just need to get in better shape to counter act my damn desk job.
I want to get in amazing shape. Best shape ever. It's off session, and I have the time.
NO EXCUSES!
Ok. So, class yesterday went the whole time, which sucks. I always hate that, and I always bitch about it because nothing on the first day is ever on an exam, and we don't know anyhting because we haven't read anything, so it's pretty pointless, and I'd rather go home. Anyhow, that being said, the professor seems pretty lively and interesting, and the class (Labor Negotiations and Conflict Resolution) seems like it will be pretty cool. I'm almost certain that I'll get an A for a number of reasons, the first being that it's a mixed class. Only two of us are evening MBA students, and all the rest are first year full time students who have just graduated college and have never had a real job and have either had very few real-life, serious negotiations (like say the state budget/my job) or none at all. Plus, I have more school experience and way more work experience, and I knew all the answers in class. Double bonus: one of the topics that I can write about is the negotiation tactics used by the Bruno, Spitzer, and Silver (the President of the Senate, the Governor, and the Speaker of the Assembly...ie my job!!!)! How cool is that?
I'm pretty jazzed about that.
Anyhow, I'm going to: 1. Take my walk. 2. Look up the 500 ft rule 3. Call M/A Lifton and answer her question 4. Pay a bill on the phone 5. Mail in my tuition waiver. 6. Leave; give Cara her book back on the way out 7. Make veggie chili 8. Do pilates while chili is on the stove 9. Go to class. 10. Take meat out to defrost for slow cooker tomorrow!! |
