FRIDAY! Friday! Yes! I don't know why I'm so excited when I have so much lame shit to do! Argh!
Annnyways, today I have to...Go all the way up to Latham (groan, 40 mins of driving) and buy Liz a stroller for tomorrow's baby shower. I'm so damn broke. This is awesome.
Then I have the shower tomorrow, where I will not eat carbs. That should be fun.
Sunday I have to drive all the way up to Lake George (1.25 hours), buy another present on the way, and bbq with Jen and Ray's families, who by all reports are crazy.
That's pretty much the weekend.
Yesterday Bill felt really sick,so he left to go home early. D and I went to the gym, and I had a good workout, but I had to dig deep. Cardio+carb restriction=difficulty. I did 35 mins on the elliptical and 10 mins on the treadmill. D did 45 mins on the elliptical. Theeeen we went to the super market where I loaded up on yummy-rific produce...mostly berries, some kiwi, a few oranges, fresh broccoli, bagged salad, and red Swiss chard.
Then we picked up medicine for Bill, who is always running out of his meds and getting ill. Then we didn't go to the bar (YES!!!) because Bill wasn't feeling well, so yeah. My will power wasn't really tested. I guess it kind of was though because D had one drink at home, and I didn't have one, so yeah. Go me.
Yesterday evening was kind of boring. Nothing good is on tv ever. I feel like the reality tv thing has gone too far. They have a reality show about truckers...who drive on icy roads. They have a reality show about people...who make cake. No, really, Ace of Cakes. Not kidding. So wait, let me get this straight. I'm going to wake up and go to work, and then, when I get home, I want to watch...other...people...at...work? So that my day can be filled with my work and the annoyances of other people's work?? So that my whole day in effect can be...work? GAH! Make it stop! I want to be entertained! I want to be amused! I do not want to watch anyone bake a cake!
Ok...I'm better now.
*Deep breath*
So today's plan is to walk for 30 mins at work, do 10-15 mins of pilates abs and stretches, and maybe 20 mins or so of weight lifting at home.
My abs are looking stellar.
Here's what happened yesterday:
Bfast: salmon pattie
Lunch: hard boiled egg
Snack: low fat string cheese
Bvg: 1 cup organic V8
Snack: light tuna and light mayo
Dinner: burger with light bread (21 carbs), lettuce, tomato (no cheese) and less than a cup of baked beans
The guys were eating french fries, and I didn't have any. I had about 50-60g carbs, and I worked out so, I don't feel too bad.
My stomach looks flatter and leaner, which I like obviously.
Today's plan:
Bfast: salmon pattie
Lunch: 1 cup strawberries, light string cheese (12g)
Snack: 1 omega 3 hard boiled egg
Snack: 1 cup organic V8 (10g)
Dinner: low fat broccoli quiche, grilled chicken breast (25g)
Total: 47g excellent!
I might throw in some wilted Swiss chard or a kiwi, just to get more fruit/veggies. One kiwi has 12g, and 1 cup of Swiss chard has 7g, so I might just go with the Swiss chard when I get home, for a perfect 50g.
I might have veggielicious anitpasto before dinner-grilled, marinated eggplant, veggies, bell peppers, sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, and a bit of fresh mozz. The guys will be having it on thin slices of French bread, but of course, I will be declining, not that I'll miss it with all that deliciousness. Or, maybe we'll have that tomorrow and grill some stuff and have salad. I don't know. ARgggghhh?
Should I be subtracting my fiber? I think initially no. Just to get in the habit of being strict with it.
Honestly, I want to go back to bed. I don't even know why I'm going to bother going to work today. It seriously takes a lot of discipline to go to work when:
A) no one will be there
B) no one will care if you're there or not
C) there will be nothing to do
D) nothing will be accomplished
E) I'll do the same stuff (play on the internet, read Harry Potter) that I would at home, except without my dog and in less comfortable clothing.
I hope you all have a great weekend!!!
Oh, thinking of seeing a movie this weekend. Has anyone seen anything good lately? Recommendations?
