There is construction going on outside my office, and it is beyond horrible. Uggghhh...
Just endless jackhammers.
Not even my iPod can drown it out.
Dreadful.
Yesterday, D, my parents and I went to the Saratoga county fair, and we had a good time. It was actually really nice. The weather was lovely, nice and sunny. We saw a pig race, which was amusing and cute. We also saw a demolition derby, which was kind of cool for a bit, and we saw all the animals too. I liked the horses and the reindeer. The oxen were just kind of intmidating because they were SO big. 2900 lbs! People come into contact with large animals so seldom now, it's easy to forget just how big a horse, cow, or ox really is. Anyhow...the animals were cute and soft. The rides were cool, but expensive. My dad and I went on a ride which was basically an endless loop, and we all went on the ferris wheel, and Dand I went on this other ride, which was really fun. We played carnival games, and D actually won one. He's one of those rare individuals who can win unwinable games like carnival games, and he can even get the stuffed animals with that dropping claw game (do you know what I mean? the drop claw game where you try to grab the stuffed animal and maneuver it to the part where you drop the stuffed animal down a chute so you win it?), which is amazing. Anyhow, that was fun. We ate a bunch of crappy fair food, and that was pretty much it.
On Saturday, we proctored. It was...pretty much what it always is. We got up early, arrived kind of late, stayed forever, read books, and did nothing, so aside from it being kind of a long, wasted day, it was good. We were tired when we got home, and I didn't feel like cooking, so we ordered take out Mexican from Bombers, and it sucked. We accidentally got free cheese fries, which was a curse.
On Friday? It seems so long ago. I don't even know what I did on Friday. I think we basically just hung out. We did go to the gym for some cardio though, which was good, so it wasn't compeltely a lost cause.
This week needs to be stellar.
Tons of water.
Very little starch, if any.
I feel so bloated from this weekend.
The big two rules: 1. No alcohol until the trip. 2. LOTS of exercise.
I just want to go home. It's so quiet and boring, and that construction noise is killing me! |
