So I'm back at work.
Really, it's not that bad because I don't actually have to do anything real.
Here is my list of things to do today: 1. Sleep in. 2. Make dinner in slow cooker so I can go to the gym. 3. Go to work by 12:30. 4. Check email; delete messages. 5. Check voicemail. Delete messages. 6. Call people back. 7. Get new password; do timesheets. 8. Clean desk. 9. Do bank transfer. Pay bills. 10. Play Caesar. 11. Go home. 12. Go to gym. - I lifted weights at home for about 40 minutes...that counts, right? 13. Eat dinner.
Today/tomorrow: 1. Change withholding. 2. RSVP to wedding that I'm not going to. 3. Submit tuition reimbursement. 4. Mail in tuition waiver. 5. Sign up for fall classes. 6. Deposit check.
As you can see, I have some serious business to attend to! Yesterday, thank to some motivation from Morgs, I did manage to drag myself to the gym. I did 35 mins on the elliptical and walked for 1 mile. Today I think I'm doing weights. I'm going to look so fierce.
Friday I won't work out because I have to go to my parents' for this...get together? I guess my great aunt and my second cousin are going to be coming up. I'll probably put in a pretty full day at work, but I'll be sure to get my 30 minutes of walking in at the very least.
Yesterday, D and I went to what I hope is the last end of session party. Of course, we went late, and that worked out pretty well. Now the thing about this party, is that it was...a pool party and a work party...at the same time. What could possibly be worse than having to see your coworkers in swimsuits and having them see you? Torture! A worse idea has surely never been conceived..anyhow, it was hot as hell yesterday, but around 5 or so, the heavens opened...we got to the party around 6ish, and it had been going on since 2ish, and everyone was huddled near the pool in an open garage which had been converted into something of a hang out space with tables, chairs, a fridge, and the like. Everyone was in their swimsuits and had been swimming...the rain saved us! That was awesome. I seriously feel like I escaped death. We hung out, had a few beers; D and I split a burger, and after a few hours, we left. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either.
I wish Britney Spears would wear more clothing.
I wish Paris Hilton would go away. Why isn't she still in jail again?
I recently saw Hot Fuzz, and it was really funny, but I didn't like it quite as much as I liked Sean of the Dead, which was awesome.
I can't even say what I've done with the past few days. I've been sleeping in, going to the gym, and hanging out with my dog. I did venture to WalMart once for some grocery shopping, but otherwise, that's pretty much it.
And now...it is time for strawberries and Caesar. |
