So...
I need some opinions.
So, around Halloween, I was shopping at this store, Platos Closet, looking for opera length gloves and the perfect pair of sun glasses for my Holly Golightly costume when I ran into a friend from college whom I hadn't seen in a very long time. Now, Platos Closet is a second hand store for trendy, name brand clothes. I was really excited to see her and hoped that we'd reconnect and be friends again. We talked about what we were doing: I told her I was married, getting my mba, and was working for the State. She told me she was an artist living in Troy and that she had her own place and studio there. She seemd happy to see me, and we exchanged phone numbers. A week or so later, I gave her a call. She hasn't called me back.

She wasn't just an acquaintence. We were very good friends.

Frankly, I'm pretty bummed, and I can't help but take it kind of personally. I thought maybe she thought I had turned into a lame, pedestrian, boring, sell out State worker, and so she didn't call me back.

D thought she was mortified that I was comparatively more "successful" (we had been equals in college) and that she was shopping in a thrift store when I was there to buy items for a costume.

I don't know if I want to bother calling her back. I mean I do, but...
