    Time Event
    10:24a
Gah. I'm in a weird mood.

My mom is....driving me nuts. She's just generally unreasonable.

So D's bday is 1/13, and the weekend of 1/15, his parents are coming up to Albany, which they do about twice a year, and they want to have dinner with my parents on that Sunday. DM said to MM that she'd be coming up around D's bday and that they shuold get together. MM said she'd check. DM thinks they have plans. MM said she wants to visit her grandmother in a nursing home in Westchester (3 hours south of here), and that she she can't be back up in time on Sunday to do dinner. She refuses to change her plans of course, because she never changer her plans. They are immutable. She's now insisting that I should take a train down to Westchester on Sunday and take a train back up for dinner with his family because her family should be just as important as his. I told her that I had never said that I'd be going down with her, and that I had already committed to dinner and plans and that I would not be going. Now his parents are going to be pissed at them again, as usual because it kinda looks like my mom is breaking plans. The whole thing is stupid. This happens every year because the bdays are the same time each year obviously. My mom insists that she must visit my grandma as close as possible to her bday and that gma will always take precedent over anything else until she dies, and she's totally inflexible. His parents always come up that weekend, and won't come up any other weekend because it's MLK day weekend, and that's when they have off, so it's more convenient. So there's just no room for anything, and so the fight continues.

Basically, she's going to be yelling at me the entire time while we make cookies. It just drives me nuts. She makes such an effort to have traditions and spend quality time, and then she just spends the entire time yelling and screaming at me and being unreasonable. Seriously, I'm dreading it. I hate fighting.

On the up side. I had a good time this weekend. I got some decent presents too! I got a Sephora Gift Card, an Amex gift card, and some Origins make-up and lip gloss, and the 3rd season of the Family Guy on Dvd. I love that show.

I just got a charcoal and a red merino turtleneck and this gorgeous wrap sweater. There's a big sale at BR, like 40-50% off, and if you type in the promotion code BRHOLBOX, you get 15% off, even on sale items!!

I got this wrap sweater thing and this in grey and red. I already have it in black. I loooove sweaters. They're boring, but I dress up alot at work, and I'm always cold. These wash soooo nice. They don't stretch out in the elbows, or anywhere really, and they're soooo warm, but they're not bunchy and frumpy like most sweaters. A total steal. $240 worth of sweaters for $140.
    High five!

After this though, I'm done with my weird sweater buying spree. Really, I swear.

This just blew my mind. We live in the future.

I tried it out, and you can find the phone number and address of anywhere, and you can get directions there. No 411. No dataservice. Definitions, prices, trivia, weather, movie times, foreign language translations, and currency conversions.

For the price of a text message.

This is the most democratized form of information....ever.
