    Things I need to start doing:
    1. Eat breakfast again, no excuses.
    2. Drink more water. I've really been slacking there.
    3. Sleep.
    4. Check my voicemail. I'm soooo bad about that.

    Things I need to do:
    1. Collect addresses for holiday cards.
    2. Buy, fill out, and send holiday cards.
    3. Talk to possible officiant.
    4. Buy Dad's xmas presents, and buy one more for Mom.
    5. Pick up dry cleaning.
    6. Check about SEFA and deferred compensation.
    7. Finish filing project at work. Bleh.
    8. Make doctor's appt.

    Stuff I want to do during break:
    1. Attend tons of pilates and yoga classes while I have the time.
    2. Art! When I went through all my old stuff (my parents recently got lots of stuff out of storage) I realized how much I miss drawing and painting.
    3. Knit. I don't know...it seems to be the thing to do lately around here. Everyone is knitting, and since I don't make stuff, the idea fascinates me.
    4. Read for pleasure. I can't tell you how much I miss this one.

    Long term:
    1. Go through clothes and get rid of stuff.
    2. Become outrageously rich.
    3. Become a multi hyphenate=rockstar-fashion designer-actress-artist-writer-philanthropist.

    shopper's guilt!
    I think I'm doing well as far as my goals go...
    I just bought my holiday party outfit. I'm a terrible, terrible person with a very bad shopping problem, but really...this is it...I swear!

    I have to look totally fabu though since you know who will be there, and besides, I got everything at a fantastic steal!

    I figured I needed a cashmere twinset because I've always wanted one and because cashmere never goes on sale. The whole twinset was $150 instead of $230,so I don't feel too bad. Plus, I got the skirt for $60 instead of $108...so justified. Plus, I had a $25 gift card. GAH! Shopper's guilt.
    Here's the skirt, and here's the cardigan and the shell. I may wear a prettier, dressier top that I have at home instead of the shell to dress it up a bit. The party is a work-related event though, so I can't go too over the top hot.

    goals
    Health goals, revised:

    1. 2 liters of water a day.
    2. Minimum of 40g of protein a day.
    3. 100% of calcium and iron every day.
    4. 1 cup of green or white tea daily.
    5. 5 sevings of fruits and veggies a day.
    6. Eat breakfast, no excuses.
    7. Take 2g fish oil daily.

    I've been pretty good about the fish oil and the iron, but that's about it lately. I figure if I meet these goals I should be alright. I think I'm going to try to alternate between 800 and 1000 cals a day, with 4 800 cal days and 3 1000 cal days, but I'm not going to work the 1000 calorie days in until after the party. I just can't work them in before then.

    I'm also thinking about trying to cut out products that are full of artificial sweeteners, with the exception of Splenda. I know it sounds weird, but I feel like when I eat something flavored with other artificial sweeteners, I crave more, more, more, especially with things like fat free yogurt or frozen diet bars and such. When I don't eat that crap, I eat so much less.
