A good, relaxing weekend. Phenomenal.
Friday I worked for my parents' office which kind of sucked, especially considering that they didn't pay me, which I'm kind of upset about. I want and NEED that money, and they've never not paid me before, so I'm not sure what's up with that.
Afterwards, my sketchy ex bf came through, and that made the rest of my evening much, much more relaxing. That and a few drinks of course....I was a bit overly relaxed by the time my friends came over though, but I can't say that I really care.
On Saturday, I slept in. I didn't travel or do anything lame. It was great. I went to the gym. We cleaned up the house a bit. It was all ever so chill. Dan even took us out to dinner at this cute French place. I ordered as best I could: shared a salmon app, shrimp and veggie dinner, a fruit based dessert, and a glass of white whine. We don't go out together that often, so I just decided to enjoy it.
Yesterday was fun too! I slept in, of course. We cleaned THE WHOLE HOUSE, which was fantastic. We finally planted the tomatoes and worked on the garden, and I went to the gym again. Then we had a yummy healthy dinner, and we went out to see Star Wars with a friend of ours, which, by the way, WAS THE WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME. Don't get me wrong, the special effects were great, but there was no plot, no character development, NOTHING. There was no build up. It took Annakin like ten minutes to go to the Dark side after twenty something years of Jedi training and indoctrination. There were also a zillion plot inconsistencies. I hated this movie. I also hate George Lucas. Lukas. Whatever. I think he should give us our money back because I would have preferred to see some plot/acting instead of fake, digitally mastered sunsets. BOO!!! It just sucks that we go to like...two movies a year, and one of them was that one. HMph.
Mike, my housemate, is STILL unemployed. Keep in mind that he QUIT his job without securing another one.He has been jobless for a month. He has over-drawn his checking account by about $900. His credit card companies are always calling. He takes one class, and he feels that this precludes him from working. He parties like a rock star and sleeps all day. Seriously, he and his gf split an 8ball the other day, and our friends have said that they've seen him wandering the streets of Albany totally intoxicated. This weekend he and his friends went to a bar and got so drunk that one of them got a dui.. He skipped out on a job interview. He didn't pay the 7/1 rent. His dad gives him about $800 a month to live on, and his rent, bills, and food come to like $450, which as I mentione, he has not paid. He was telling us that he planned to give the entire $800 to his creditors, meaning that he planned on not paying us rent for July or August. I want to kill him. I told Dan that he had better give us the whole thing. I don't care if he screws Citibank or Bank of America. We are on a much tighter budget than those global companies, and I'm not going to have him finance his unemployed partying on my back while I take classes that I pay for myself and work without any financial help from anyone.
Mike/Star Wars gripe aside, it was still a very good, very relaxing weekend.
In thinness news, awhile ago I got this workout shirt that shows a bunch of my stomach, and for the longest time I wouldn't wear it in public, and the other day...I wore it to the gym, and it was roooooomy around my abs : )
