Scott's Journal I haven't updated this in a long time so I thought I would do just that. I've been working quite a lot lately and I've realized that customers are really bitchy around this time of year. It's gonna be a long holiday season. There's a girl at work I'm interesed named Laura. She is really cool, has an awesome sense of humor. I actually went, while I was on break at work, and just started talking to her. That is something I just don't do. There must something special about her if I am able to do that. A little saddened by what happened during the Pacers/Pistons game a couple of nights ago. Ron Artest seriously needs some mental help. I mean that in a very serious way. It's not funny. The guy though off the court visits children in hospitals a lot and does a lot of other charity work so he's not a completely bad person. Just needs some help. I think Jermaine O'neal's punishment was a little harsh. That fan that walked on the court was looking for trouble and as far as anyone knew he could have been dangerous. O'neal feared for his safety, they're are some crazy fans out there that might do something crazy. And boy that was a beautiful punch O'neal through wasn't it? Ben Wallace completely overreacted to the semi hard free throw, I've seen about a million a lot harder. And finally the league is gay for supsending Reggie Miller for a game when he did nothing but try to break up the fight. Reggie gets no respect. I can't wait to play some football this Friday. The 'band' is getting back together. Current mood: amused. Current music: The Greatest by R. Kelly. As the summer draws to a close and since I haven't updated this thing in a long time I thought I would do an entry reflecting on the summer. This summer was definetly a good one. You would think that summer would lose some of it's meaning now that I'm not in school anymore but really it has gained meaning. It is the only time where I can see my friends that went off to college on a consistent basis and catch up with them. That is why I look foward to Summer now more than ever. The summer was awesome right off the bat. I got in touch with two old friends from my school days that I hadn't talked to a long time. The first was my buddy B.J. One night was I sitting, bored at my comp so I opened the Find A Buddy Wizard to see if I could find anyone I knew. B.J. popped into my head and I entered the info. A screenname popped up that I knew instantly was his. I then messaged him one day and we have been in touch ever sense. It had been two years since I had talked to him. The only reason for that is pure laziness by my part. I've hung out him this summer more than when we were in high school. We've played a lot of ball and he is still friggin awesome. Bittner and I will be visiting him at Saginaw Valley St. in the coming year so the Fab 3 can run a muck on SVSU's campus. The other friend was my first crush Jenny. I was surfing U Of M's website just to see if I could find anyone I recognized and her name came up. After a little reluctance I e-mailed her, not even sure if it was the Jenny I knew, and low and behold it was. She seemed happy to hear from me which was good. We e-mailed each other a couple times and then started chatting on AOL. I saw her down at Curwood once and hung with her for a little which was cool. She is as nice as she ever was. I would like to hang with her again but she is really busy with her plans for heading to Boston for school so I don't think that will happen. She will be heading back for Thanksgiving and Christmas, she told me will do something then. It gives me something to look foward to. I am gonna make sure I never lose touch with these two very cool people again. Curwood b-ball tourney was a really fun time even though we lost because of horrible luck but I don't want to get into that again. It was still fun though because I shared a comraderie with a cool group of guys that I had never shared before. I had never been a part of a team in high school so it was a cool experience to be on a team for the first time. The bad thing about Curwood b-ball is the ugliest of a lot of people came out down there and people just lost it while forgetting it's just a game. I'm not sure if I will compete next year, it depends. I definetly played a lot of b-ball this summer and am still playing it now. It's a fun sport and I've improved a lot but not as much as I want to. I'll hopefully be even better next year. One major reason for playing so much ball is there is nothing else to really do around here but I'm glad about that because I've become passionate about b-ball for the first time. One sad thing about this summer ending is my buddy Andrew is going to Eastern Michigan for school. It's just going to be really weird not having him right across the street anymore. In the past two years while most of my friends were off to college he was always there. Now he will be gone and that sucks but I'm happy for him. It's now down to just me and Bittner. It will be fun though. The best thing about Summer was definetly going with my buddy Bromley to stay with Matt for a couple of days. I don't think it's possible to have much for fun than that. I forgot just how crazy it was when us three are hanging out. I can't wait to do it again somewhere down the road. Well that's the high points of a fun summer. I can't wait till the next one. To all my friends going off to school I wish you the best and don't forget if you ever need anything dial me up and I'll be there. I just posted the same entry 7 times on accident because my stupid comp wouldn't go so I went into a clicking frenzy, lol. Oh well.... I just posted the same entry 7 times on accident because I'm stupid comp wouldn't go so I went into a clicking frenzy, lol. Oh well.... Wednesday through Saturday were a blast. After I got out of Wednesday I went home and started packing for my trip to Grand Rapids with my buddy Bromley to stay with our friend Matt for a couple of days. I also hung out with my niece Courtney for awhile who I hadn't seen in a long time. We watched some Saved By The Bell episodes and I was on and off the comp for awihle. Then I headed to bed. Thursday- I got up around 9 and made sure everything was ready to go. I did the normal morning stuff and then waited for Bromley to pick me up. It was only about an hour and half ride there and we didn't get lost, which is always good. Matt met us around where he is staying and led us there. The first thing we did was watch the Chappelle show which is, I think, the funniest show on TV. After that I hooked up my Playstation 2 and we played that for awhile, that was followed by playing some ball on an outdoor court on campus. We played 21 which Matt won, bastard, lol. We then headed back to the apartment. After awhile there we headed out to get something to eat, we decided on Buffalo Wild Wings. There was a beautiful girl working there, Kelly I think her name was, she was a bombshell. We ordered the Caribbean Jerk, Hot BBQ, and Medium wings. The Caribbean Jerk ones seemed a lot hotter than the hot bbq ones for some reasons, must be something in the sauce. After we were done there we headed to a nearby mall where I ended up buying two Amy Lee posters (the lead singer of Evanescence for those who are out of the music loop). Yeah, I'm like majorly obsessed with that band and her but I'm not afraid to admit it. Soon thereafter we headed back to the apartment where we watched Super Troopers which is a very funny movie and ate some pizza. Then very late we headed to bed. Friday- After getting around we ate at the International House Of Pancakes. That's a good way to start your day off let me tell you. I had french toast with an egg, sausage, and bacon. Yum, yum, yum, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Then we headed to the big mall in Grand Rapids. I got a CD R to make another Evanescence cd : ) And we watched the Bourne Supremacy at the movie theater which was just as good as the first movie I thought. On the way back to the apartment we stopped at the Meijer's there, which reminded me of work which wasn't good. After much contemplating we decided on chicken nuggets and corn for dinner. I also picked up some swiss cake rolls. We headed back to the apartment then and ate. I downed a lot of nuggets and drank a lot of coke. As for the swiss cake rolls they did not last long. I then played a lot of Smackdown Here Comes The Pain on the PS2 before heading to bed. Saturday- We hit the beach after we all got ready and had a bowl of cereal, Honey Nut Cheerios. The beach was fun, although the water was cold at first. Big waves were coming in that were fun to jump in. I didn't stay in as long as Bromley and Matt though, I'm not usually much of a swimming person. After the beach we headed back to the apartment where we ate some pizza and watched some more of the Chappelle Show. On the way back to the apartment we stopped at a Burger King for a moment. We noticed a guy was double parked which made us furious for some reason. We ended up leaving a note on his car that said something to the liking of 'Learn how to f**king park' we signed the note 'Love, the F**ker'. The F**ker is a character I made up a long time ago and have used on numerous internet message boards. It was inspired by a Charles Barkley quote I heard a long time ago. Anyways,we had a good laugh about that. But back to where I was, after we watched the Chappelle show Bromley and I packed up and left. The ride home wasn't bad, it was relaxing for the most part. When I got home the house was empty so I unpacked and hung up my Amy Lee posters. My mom, my sister, my niece Caitlyn, and my brother Tim then arrived home. It was good to see Tim who I hadn't seen in awhile. I also burned a cd copy of Evanescence's release Sound Asleep along with a song by David Hodges and Amy Lee called Breathe, which is a Christian worship song. I'm not usually into those songs but it's really good. My mom made some nachos which were awesome. I then watched TV with my bro for awhile and got online before heading to bed. The last group of days were really fun. Another thing me and my buddies did was slap the hell out of each other, on the head and neck. I'm not sure why we started this but it's fun. And we will probably do the next time to : ) Holla At Your Boy Current mood: happy. Current music: Understand by Evanescence (Sound Asleep Version). Wednesday through Saturday were a blast. |
