I woke up this morning to a pervasive smell: that of lighter fluid. Someone is having a Fourth of July barbecue, apparently in the courtyard. I can hear things going on in the courtyard but not quite see them because of the way my window is constructed. These could be the same people who have recently been playing with bottle rockets and firecrackers. More of that tonight, I suppose. I don't suppose work will be busy today. It will probably largely consist of hearing about other people's Independence Day celebrations. There seems to be a common theme here. :)
