About Toby and Mitchell.
Before tonight I only knew that Mitchell had cancer.
Tonight I heard the whole story.
One day dad was carrying baby Mitchell down the stairs when he fell. Now he didn't drop baby, and seemed more immediately hurt than baby, but as Toby and Mitchell are two very sick boys mum and dad took Mitchell to hospital just to check that nothing did go wrong - x-rays and stuff like that.
In these x-rays they saw something behind Mitchell's eyes, and naturally everybody FREAKED OUT. Cause these are two very, very sick boys, whose parents are very, very blessed to have them. And mum and dad didn't want to lose them.
Naturally, Mitchell was subject to further testing. Toby, being Mitchell's twin, also got checked out for it. Toby was fine.
Mitchell had retinal cancer.
But the tumour has been removed, and Mitchell is now on chemotherapy. He may have blurry eyesight for the rest of his life, the eye in question may not work at all, but they found the tumour.
Dad probably started off by kicking himself for falling down the stairs with baby Mitchell. But I bet and hope and pray that mum and dad are now thanking God and praising Him that dad did fall, because it is thanks to that they found the tumour.
God, you operate in strange ways... and we thank You for it.
