I'm feeling very inspired and active but I don't know where to direct it.
Here is what I want to do: to start a ministry within DAC focused on serving the community. So along the lines of Soul Survivor, but something that the younger age groups can get involved in so that they are actively volunteering not just within the church, but learning to care for the world.
Yet, I don't know how to engage with the community, how to start these things. A soup kitchen isn't really an appropriate place for young kids to be, well I don't feel it would be, and really the only thing I can think of is to organise "Clean Up Australia Day" groups... hooray for once a year service >_>
Maybe I'll check out Soul Survivor South Coast and see what sort of stuff they're doing.

This is a brilliant idea to start this... gets us doing the things we should be doing anyway.
I'm going to set aside a day a week to look at this.
And I think it's something I'd like to introduce my g-group girls to....
