It has actually been 6 days since the termination, but Terry Cloth Shorts is no more. They all came to me about 2 weeks ago and told me that they had individually noticed me change. They said I seemed disinterested, arrogant and that my mind was elsewhere. As a result of this practice wasn't as fun and I wasn't as tight. They said they had noticed it in the last few months and hadn't said anything sooner in hopes that it would get better. It didn't and reached the point of no return where we just had to disband. If it had to happen, if happened at the right time, i just started school and I am ridiculously busy as it is. I would've just been tired all the time.
In other news this night that initially had so much potential ended up with me, here at home, on the computer. I can now hear my dad parking. I don't like beign alone, but I don't like the sound sports shows or football either.

The other day at work I was standing @ my cash register, it was slow. It's times like that my mind wanders for purposes of entertainment. I started thinking about Brain Candy, specifically Cancer Boy, and started laughing. "Did you see! The doctor and me! Did you see!"
Today on the way to practice with Gimp some guy ran out in to the street to tell us to slow down. This was about 3 small blocks away from Rob & Ronda's. Gimp flicked him off and the next thing I knew (as I looked into my rear-view) this guy, we'll call him Hugh, was jumping into his silver beamer and chasing us. My thoughts at this time are that there was no way I was getting away... my car is not faster than his. I was far enough ahead that I thought I could turn onto the first street and make another turn at the next street before he could see... but there was some big ass red truck making a U-turn so I stopped the car and Gimp and I got out to wait for Hugh. Seconds later he arrives and also gets out of his car. He never looks at me, it seems that his quam is with gimp for giving him the finger. I really don't remember everything this guy said.. I do remember that Gimp's response to everything was "fuck you."

Hugh gets into his car and uses his cell (police?) Gimp starts walking to Ronda's house and I get back into my car and park on the next block before he can see where I've gone, I don't want Hugh fucking with my car. I call Rob and Ronda to come out because now Hugh is driving up and down the street looking for Gimp. He ends up parked out in front of Ronda's house on his phone. He's out there for an unnaturally long time... we actually end up calling the cops... we hear sirens in the back and joke that they are coming for us. The dispatch officer then tells Gimp the cops are there so we go out. There were about 3 units and 2 showed up within the next minute. Somehow something had been said about a gun and the sirens were the cops on their way to Ronda's. Long story short, the talked to both Gimp and Hugh... patted down Gimp. Talked to me briefly, searched my car. They never found a knife, no one went to jail, no one got a ticket. We had practice as usual. Later between sets I thought about what kind of dad this guy is. Sure he has the protective streak in him which is a good thing but I wonder how much of that was protection for his kids, who I never saw, and not him being a dickhead yuppy who needed to shave. Beyond all this,the way he handled that situation was totally fucked and I'd hate to see how he disciplines and/or raises his kids

It doesn't matter where I'm parked, or what day it is, the sound of the street sweeper makes my heart stop. Even similar sounding vehicles have the same effect. It all goes back to those few times I was parked on the wrong side of the street and had to spring out to my car usually barefoot to save myself from a parking ticket. One time I had to convince the guy that I was just getting out of my car and had parked there because I saw the street sweeper go by. Sheesh
Last night I took a bunch of cds to becca's house for her to rip. She was so excited to get soo much new music, I hope she likes them.

I don't know why it irritates me so much when my dad come by home from work. Mostly just if he does it in the morning. I like to be alone in the morning. That excludes my friends of course. I feel like I can't do anything when he's here, I was about to make breakfast when he got here, now I'm sitting on the computer instead... waiting for him to leave so I can go about my day. I can't explain it. My dad is really cool. It's not like he comes in like some controlling asshole, he just comes in. Go figure.
My friend Eric injured himself last night. I don't really know the story, or the extent of the injury...but I do know that he was in the hospital last night, his back still hurt today, and he said something about, "No crazy Eric for a couple weeks." I hope everything turns out dandy.

My grandma is 80 years old. She hadn't broken a bone in her entire life until a couple days ago. The carpet on one of the steps in her house isn't properly glued/nailed down... and the carpet slipped away from the actual step while she was walking down them. Sucks. She is cool though. It's hard to believe she's 80 when I compare her to others that age.
Cassandra just called me. She said she had a dream about me. In the dream, she woke up and I was standing at the foot of her bed, with a suitcase in front of my face, crying and laughing at the same time. She asked me was wrong and all I kept saying was, "It's all over." craziness. anywhoo im gonna go pick her up and we're going to meet Gabe and Ivy at Coldstone.

Finally in recovery from that fever.
Showed up at his house unexpectedly because practice had been canceled due to a missing bassist named Gimp.
Anywhoo, I opened the talk with something to this affect:
"It's obvious to me that you've lost interest or I don't know what happened...
but I think it's pretty chicken-shit that you have been avoiding me and haven't fessed up to whatever is going on."
The short of the entire night is that he loves me... BUT ... part of him still wants to see other people sometimes. That's such crap! I can't help feeling I've been jipped. Things between us are so good... when they're good (how's that for a circular argument) but he had to turn out to be a fickle boy. How can you love someone... and still desire to mess around.

Last week in my human sexuality class we were learing about the Ottoman Empire Harem. Interesting. Last night at the show someone came up and whispered in my ear that I was dead to them... This is from the person who earlier also told me he'd been driking a lot the past couple weeks, I don't remember the exact words, but basically he was pinning it on me. I do feel some guilt... but at the same time I can't help but feel this person has no grounds for saying someting like that. No one chooses who they fall in love with, it just happened not to be this guy. Which, as more time goes by and I see how unstable he is, I'm realizing it was a good choice.
Anywhoo, for the most part last night @ Sacred was good people, good music... I was happy that Beebs showed up and I finally go to see Kat. I am hopeful for today, I'm about to go meet up with Rhebot and Lucas for a bit Tonight shoud also be fun.
Monday is Pete Townshend and Tara Brown's bday. Tara is the girl I tutor in french. The cool thing about it is that I am invited to her b-day dinner, which includes lobster... score!

3.5 weeks of school left. I really am feeling the stress and fatigue this semester. The summer will be a very welcome change. More time to play music, work ($) and ride beach-cruisers. I think I'm getting coffee/tea with Kat tonight. We haven't hung out in awhile. I'm such a clutz sometimes, I almost just broke the same tea cup twice. Dropped it once, then smacked the honey jar into it. Things like that have happenig a lot to me lately, just small misjudgements that wouldn't usually occur. I need more sleep.
