OK, so, on June 23rd about 10:30 am hubby hurts himself at work. Feels a pop in his knee and pain radiates up and down his leg. 5 weeks post injury, they send him in for an MRI since the pain is still there. Does anything seem wrong with this picture?? They let him work on this, not knowing exactly what was wrong, and moreover, they did physical therapy WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT WAS WRONG!!

Anyhoo, he goes in for the MRI and 4 days later, I get a phone call from hubby's shop they say that the doctor called and need to seem him ASAP!!! Now, if you do the math, we are now 6 weeks post injury, and guess what?? The injury is TORN CARTILIDGE and he needs surgery to fix it NOW! Now correct me if I'm wrong, but since the X-ray's the took the first day didn't show anything, and 2 weeks post injury, it wasn't better, why did they make him wait an additional 3 weeks to get this done, we could be done with everything and him recovering if they weren't stupid idiots!!!

Now, not only am I dealing with that issue, which btw, hubby's hours are drastically cut due to pain management. But anyway, my oldest daughter just got diagnosed with scoliosis, so now we have specialist appts to contend with.

OK, I'm off to crawl into my ball of stress.

life changing decisions

After much discussion and deliberation, the family and I are going to be moving out of state. It wasn't an easy decision to come to, but we just aren't getting anywhere here, and the people, in general, here in Phoenix, well, they aren't what hubby and I want, they are rude and it's just getting to be an ugly place to live. So we're moving to be closer to my family.

On top of that, woke up with a REALLY bad stiff neck.

OK, so working 2 jobs is getting on my last nerve. One of my bosses has given me an opportunity to take on a spot that I pretty much do the job for anyway. At a pay I haven't made in a long time (since working out in Gila Bend) The best news, it's Monday thru Friday 7-3, dream job right?? YES!! but the hours are what's killing me here. With my oldest not here, it's hard to justify spending $150. a week in Daycare for the young ones. Even making the offered $12. an hour. I need to talk to hubby and see what he says about the whole thing. I'd get weekends off, which would be awesome. I just don't know, and with Hubby being injured right now and only working a limited number of hours... makes me wanna scream. BUT the daycare would only be until my oldest comes back from Texas. I just don't know what to do here.

Politics.....always a nice topic

OK, not really one for politics since for all intents and purposes, I am a liberal conservatist... AKA Rush Limbaughs nightmare.. lol.

I don't like John McCain, I honestly don't, and what I heard this morning just PISSES me off to no end, especially since he is a damn veteran himself.

OK, so there is a new G.I. Bill up for vote in congress, John McCain didn't vote on it (big shock there, the man hasn't voted on 50% of the bills that have been throughin the last few years). They are reforming the G.I. Bill to get the soldiers more money for education, a huge plus in my book since I did elect to participate in the Montgomery G.I. Bill while I was in the Military, and used it to go to RSI.

Both Barack Obama as well as Hillary Clinton voted for it (YAY). Most Military members tend to lean towards the republican side of the house, it's been proven time and time again. For John McCain to flat out turn his back on his bretherin is digusting to say the least. This is a huge blow for the republicans, and this is also giving us insight to what possibilities await us if he is elected President. Personally, I will not vote for him. I am not impressed with his attidude nor his commitment to his job as a senator, if he is only going to be present for.. lets be generous and say 60% of his votes for bills going through congress, which it is his JOB as an elected official, then what is in store for this country if he is elected President? I mean isn't he paid to be the people of Arizona's voice?? and he has quite effectively muted that voice, it can't be heard.

As or Barak, I will be voting for him, however, I do feel this country isn't quite yet ready for a black president.. I fear for his safety, and that of his family. This country is still WAY too bigoted to truly embrace the changes this country needs to make in order to get the whole country back into a state where we need to be. We are supposed to be the strongest country in the world, in all facets. I don't agree with us going off and defending everyone else in the world where there are issues here at home, that I feel are far more important. Yes, it's terrible that people are living in oppression and that there are hungry children in a lot of countries. There are children in this country that are hungry as well. Lets use our tax dollars to take care of us first, then worry about everyone else.

OK, I'm gonna get off my soap box now, I hope I am preaching to the chior, but we are all entitled to our own opinions, and this is mine, however distored it may seem to you.

Your Score: Much Ado About...

You scored 27% = Tragic, 68% = Comic, 37% = Romantic, 25% = Historic

You Scored Much Ado About Nothing! First published in 1600, Much Ado About Nothing is one of Shakespeare's most enduring comedies, and probably his most performed to this day. Much Ado About Nothing tells the story of two pairs of would-be lovers and the hysterical events that happen surrounding the wedding. As Claudio and Hero prepare to marry, Don Pedro and his friends, bored with the length of preparation time, take it upon themselves in the meantime to play matchmaker to Benedick and Beatrice, two sharp-tongued would-be lovers whose love for each other is masked by the "merry war of words" in which they are engaged that both of them are too stubborn to lose. Based on your results, we believe you to be a quick-witted, light-hearted romantic who is probably very charming and charismatic. While your stubbornness may sometimes get the better of you, we are confident that you always eventually come to your senses and do what's best. You probably have a lot of friends and we like you too!

Your Score: Romance Addict

You scored 61% Unique and 71% Classic

You scored well in both Unique and Classic romance, which makes you a great catch. You're a man who understands that both are important in a relationship. You'd happily take your woman on that blissful dining experience on the beach, with moonlight shining in her eyes and violin music in the background, but you'll just as soon show her your adoration by giving her a Wet Willy to make her scream in delight and annoyance.

What My Loyal Followers Have To Say:
"A quick note to let you know that your test was wonderful fun. I barked out loud laughing several times. Thanks." - evilVtwin

"I thought the test had funk and enjoyed doing it. I've one small criticism - the favourite location to visit is a little U.S. centric. I for one hadn't a clue about the significance of several of the answers (New York was fun to visit though). But overall, a fun test! I haven't done the A Blue October one, mostly because I'm not at all familiar with the band (will add to list to check out). And before I forget my manners entirely - hello! :-)" - First_DM

"Just a quick note to let you know that I enjoyed your test (I scored Way Unique and thought that was pretty indicative). I too am nauseated by forced and formulaic 'romance' (ie smarminess and bribery.. lol) so it was refreshing to see that others appreciate subtlety, perceptiveness and an appreciation of that wordless communication that most seem to be incapable of." - pchmm

"Gotta say I loved your test (The Unconventional Romantic Test.)" - mexicanvillain

"I scored an 85%. Too bad we live so far away from each other ; )" - anubis75

"Cool test :)" - sunpeak76

"I am Balance Beam and a Romance Addict (65% unique and 65% classic...how can I be 130%?). May I please have my Key Lime Pie? Seriously, I don't listen to Blue October, but your other test was good so I took them both." - joefabulous

Your Score: Beat 17/18 1stGradrs

You scored 6/7 Lang Arts, 6/7 Math, and 6/7 Science-Social studies!

Here's how my kids did. The highest total in my class was 18, and the lowest score was 5. The average score was about 12. Looks like you beat all but one of my munchkins. "L.B." managed a tie against you. Great job!

For the ultra curious, I created a class graph if you want to see who you beat in my class. To open it, you'll need to click here for Room 10's Graph. You'll just have to open the document and it should work.

You should know that your score doesn't really tell you whether you are smarter or dumber than a 1st grader. 1st graders aren't stupid, they just haven't had as many experiences.

Lastly, feel free to check out the answer key in my journal.

should I be scared???

Your Score: Snuffleupagus

You scored 60% Organization, 55% abstract, and 61% extroverted!

This test measured 3 variables.

First, this test measured how organized you are. Some muppets like Cookie Monster make big messes, while others like Bert are quite anal about things being clean.

Second, this test measured if you prefer a concrete or an abstract viewpoint. For the purposes of this test, concrete people are considered to gravitate more to mathematical and logical approaches, whereas abstract people are more the dreamers and artistic type.

Third, this test measured if you are more of an introvert or an extrovert. By definition, an introvert concentrates more on herself and an extrovert focuses more on others. In this test an introvert was somebody that either tends to spend more time alone or thinks more about herself.

You are somewhat organized, both concrete and abstract, and both introverted and extroverted.

I bet you didn't think you were Snuffleupagus. Let's find out why.

You are both somewhat organized. You have a good idea where you put things and you probably keep your place reasonably clean. You aren't totally obsessed with neatness though. Alloyius Snuffleupagus (and all Snuffleupagus') is not sloppy by nature, but he moves so incredibly slowly that it is impossible for him to be totally organized.

You both are about equally concrete and abstract thinkers. You have a good balance in your life. You know when to be logical at times, but you also aren't afraid to explore your dreams and desires... within limits of course. Snuffy generally has very basic interests, but he explores his abstract sensitive side when he plays his snuffleflute.

You both are somewhat introverted. Originally Snuffleupagus was very shy and was only Big Bird's invisible friend. However as he has aged he has started to build new friendships with new characters. Like Snuffy, you probably like to have some time to yourself. However, you do appreciate spending time with your friends, and you aren't scared of social situations.

The other possible characters are
Oscar the Grouch
Big Bird
Cookie Monster
Ernie
Elmo
Kermit the Frog
Grover
The Count
Guy Smiley
Bert

Bugs and Things

Lots and lots of bugs out in the abandoned desert areas of Arizona. I have 6 or 7 different types of bugs on my computer screen. I am in a LITTLE area names Horn, which is north of Dateland, which is in between Gila Bend and Yuma, for those outside of Arizona, I'm about 20 mins North of Mexico, fairly close to California.. lol But there are bugs on me and around me, I am SO glad I am not squimish, but damn they tickle.. lol Sitting here minding my own business and they are all over me.. as I listen to the hum of the substation that I am making sure no idiots comes and steals the copper.

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine.. And those who don't.

As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria. In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day,
at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 Kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, Whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember: Water = Poop, Wine = Health

Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of shit.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information:

So my oldest daughter comes home from school last Thursday in tears because her throat hurts really bad. So I get her into the doctor.. and we get the diagnosis....MONO!!! So the assistant principal is working with us on this, and she will be spending half the day in one class then go to lunch then spend the rest of the day in another class. That way she is in school, and less likely to have issues with fatigue this way. Which is the main concern. So with only 6 weeks left in the school year, going to be interesting to see if she can pass the one class she is having a hard time with. So we'll just have to see what happens.
