Wednesday Evening... So Paul txt me this morning (shock, didn't think he got up before 3pm on a Weds!) and suggested we meet up for a couple of drinks, so after my cleaning frenzy this afternoon, I went over to Manchester to meet him. The train was delayed. Which is getting annoying. Anyway, got to Manchester and we went to Manto, which was too busy, so we went to Spirit, had a couple then went to Via... Paul realised he'd left his fags and copy of Attitude (with Scissor Sisters interview enclosed) in Spirit... bugger... then we went for more fags and cash, then onto Baa Bar... we had many drinks, and a couple of shots... had a really cool night - I'm glad things are good again with me and Paul... sometimes I feel a pull between us, but if it's meant to be, one day it will be... I'm quite happy as I am at the moment... Saw a cute boy in Baa Bar, even though he was ginger... and there was another cute boy on the train, but he got off at Oxford Road... Plans:Tomorrow: Do uni work Friday: Hand uni work in and then goto Edinburgh Next Week: Meet up with Richard, see James at some point, then Pop with Paul at the weekend But for now, I need to eat something!! Current Mood: horny | | 11:52 am |
The lounge smells of onions Every plate, bowl, pan and utensil is used and dirty in the kitchen And Tequila and Gin have appeared from somewhere But I'm dancing round the house tidying up Current Mood: bouncy | | 1:39 am |
Wow... another busy day... So it starts with a phone call at quarter to 10 from Karen, to let me know that Roger is not coming round til 10:30 - I was still in bed, so it was OK, but Balls was coming round, so I got up and then he arrived. Introduced him to the Alias game, which although some of the cut scene graphics are shoddy, the game is pretty damn cool - and he kinda got sucked into it. Anyway, we went back to the house, gave keys back, got cheques - was very sad to let the empty house go... but we all have to move on... Karen and Balls came back here, where much tea was drunk until Karen and Balls went to the bank to close the account. I sat about waiting for Laura to arrive. She rang me at about 1 to say she was going for a drink with Antony, so I went and met up with them - Antony was heading home today, so we had a farewell lunch then Laura and I came back here. Just after we got here, Balls arrived again, and the rest of the evening was spent merrily, with alcohol and perogies - we watched Some Like It Hot, then Cutting It ( for me) and then Matrix Revolutions, then before she left, I introduced Monkey Dust to her - shame she leaves on Sunday and is possibly the only one she'll ever see (sidenote for those in the know: I was being tag fucked in the pub toilets). Anyway, now I think bed is calling - there's still something buzzing round my head - I may jot it down before I retire - but don't worry about me, no matter what it says - I just need a tragic vent I guess. Bit of uni work to do tomorrow, then possibly Harry Potter - ring work to say I'm not in this week, then possibly meet up with Paul Thursday (depending on schedules) then Edinburgh on Friday to see the beautiful maudlinthoughts Current Mood: indescribable | | Tuesday, June 1st, 2004 | | 12:39 am |
End of a Long Weekend... And I survived to the other side - go me! OK so today was productive... I was supposed to go meet Antony and people for lunch etc, but I didn't get up til midday, then didn't remember until about half one, so I was pretty useless there... Went to the old house at about 3 and took the rest of the crap out of my room, then hoovered it, then hoovered the lounge nice and thoroughly. Brought everything back here, got some bits from Spar, then had tea, watched some tv, Emily came round and we watched Return of the King. As that is over 3 hours long, that's pretty much the whole night - she's just left... now I'm trying to decide if I should stay up for a bit, or goto bed as I have to be at the old house at 10am tomorrow, then Laura comes round at midday, and makes perogies... then Harry Potter in the evening, before Laura comes back so we can eat perogies and drink and be generally merry... Should be fun! Current Mood: cheerful | | Monday, May 31st, 2004 | | 1:25 pm |
YAY!!! 'West Wing' Star To Wed The West Wing star Allison Janney is celebrating after becoming engaged to boyfriend, actor Richard Jenik. The pair were on holiday in San Francisco, California, when Jenik asked the actress to marry him earlier this month. The couple, who have been together for two years, have not set a date for their nuptials. Source: www.imdb.com Current Mood: happy | | Sunday, May 30th, 2004 | | 10:57 pm |
Sunday: At A Glance... Ok, so today was mainly spent waiting for the Sky man to arrive, playing GTA: Vice City and doing a wee bit of unpacking... ( Read more... )I apologise to anyone and everyone I may have snapped at in the last couple of days - I haven't slept much and it's all been pretty stressful - hopefully life will go back to normal now - Thank you. OK, so I couldn't say if I was going mad or not, because the noise has gone away again now...
But if you don't hear from me again I TOLD YOU!

Morning! (is it?) *yawn*
So, had a pretty cool couple of days - James came round Weds night after he'd been to see The Killers - he said it was a really cool gig - probably going to see Pink Grease with him on the 7th (which will be the day I get back from Edinburgh, in theory) we watched some tv, but he was tired, so sleep was good...
Thurs slept in (mmmm lie in) then had chicken shop, went into town to buy a coupld of games (got the Alias game - YAY) then went to Accrinton to see James' friend Sparky, where we watched the finale of 24 (see below if you don't mind spoilers - if you do, it was cool). Came back here, but it would have been a real push for him to catch the last train back to the 'pool, so I said he could kip here - we watched an episode of The Shield (I got up to date on episodes from Sparky) but he didn't stay up late because to commute from here he'd have to get up at 6am...
Which meant this morning I had to get up at 6:30am to walk him up to the train station - I don't mind, I'm just pretty tired now... I could have gone back to bed, but I decided watching the last episode of Alias was more important (hint - was fucking ace) and now I must do much packing, as tomorrow is the big moving day! Eek!
As for moving, I wasn't looking forward to it, as I love this house, and it's pretty sad to hear 4 boys are moving in next year, so the house will be a lot different I imagine... But last night I decided I'm looking forward to it... I'm done here now... last night was weird for me... Things brought back a lot of stuff which has happened in my life over the last few years, and how much I hated being caught up in the situation, so I'm glad the situation will not be surrounding me, as I can't cope with it again... I need things to be simple for the next year, I don't want to feel the way I felt last night. I dunno, I pick up on other people's moods, and it can leave me feeling miserable when i don't want to be, and when I'm miserable, I can project it onto other people, and since I spent most of last year doing that, I don't wanna be doing it anymore... Anyway, rant over.
Got my mobile bill this morning - £46.38 - I blame you, James! | | 9:09 am |

hmm - so I did come on to write about something, but then I got sidetracked, and now I've completely forgotten what it was... On a completely seperate note - Sad news for all those who live round the Tameside area that I grew up in... The Ashton Indoor Market has been practically destroyed by fire this morning The fire started at about 3am this morning, and over ninety firefighters were called to the scene in twelve fire engines and three aerial appliances. They were at the scene for more than four hours after the fire broke out. More than 100 businesses were based in the market, which is the biggest in Tameside and was built in 1881. The building is listed Grade II. Tameside Council say they hope to preserve the shell of the building, but said the walls will need to be shored up in the short term. The last shot of the Market before the fire (camera is on top of the market hall) A sad day indeed for all who know the area Is this the end of an era for Ashton? | | 1:10 pm |
Wow... I'm fairly tired today... didn't goto bed too late - guess the weekend is catching up with me, and yesterday was fairly tiring... anyway, I'm awake now, and my surround speakers arrive today, so gonna have to sit in until they arrive! *sigh* But it's a perfect excuse to pack, and then I might go for a few drinks with Marc later... UPDATE:Yay - my speakers arrived! :D FruitariansOk, this is not an official term - Fruitarians are those who only eat raw food - fruit and vegetables - it's giving up everything else - it's supposed to be very healthy - this week is National Vegetarian Week, so you might hear more about it during the week - I don't know anything about any health risks from being a Vegetarian, but if you want more information, check out The Fresh Network Current Mood: cheerful | | Monday, May 24th, 2004 | | 10:33 pm |
Auctions... HINTS FOR BUYING AT SALES OR AUCTIONS Do not get carried away with Sales/Auction Fever. The thing with these auctions arranged by companies with loads of random shit to offload is that the auctioneer is extermely well trained to entertain and persuade the buyers to part with as much money as possible, with the assumption that what you will buy is fantastic. And at some points during this auction he didn't even tell the buyers what they were buying, just that it was "great"... You shouldn't buy stuff when you have no idea what it will be, but in the end the stuff seemed worthed it. They were selling lots for £400 such as tv, dvd player and surround sound system, or ministry stereos with dvd players and video recorders, or a watch set, or a kitchen set, or a playstation 2 set... it was all very exciting, and the guy was a great entertainer... I've got myself what I'm calling a bargain, and I won't hear anyone say otherwise... keeping mum about it at the moment until it arrives (home delivery) Anyway, I'm quite tired now, and I've done a fair bit of packing (well, I say packing, I've done my DVDs and CDs - which is no mean feat, I tell ye) and my dial-up hasn't let me on all evening! *cries* Anyway, quote of the evening came from Sarah-Lou in Coronation Street: "I felt really sophisticated and grown up going on a night out down Canal Street" I'm sorry, what?!? What A Weekend! Well, I have been a busy boy... and I have been jetting all around the NorthWest! So I was at my placement Friday, which was good fun - was just me and Linda again, but "little Ange" (hehe) was about too, so we were talking about Fruitarians (will tell you more later) plus I impressed the big boss person of actiondesks with my telephone skills (it's not hard is it?) Friday night went off to see James where much drink was consumed - watched episode 23 of season 3 of 24 (any more numbers, anyone?) and we were most shocked by the ending - I feel I could be very upset with the writers this year! Was up til all hours playing with his instrument too (guitar, before you all start getting ideas!) Saturday didn't really do much - kinda bummed around the flat, then Paul txt asking if I wanted to goto pop, so then I had to rush to get back to Preston to get ready to go to Manchester. Got to the flat, and it was just Patrick. "Paul got mugged"FUCKAnyway, after much worrying by me, he got back, and he was ok - they hit him in the head and he scraped his arm on the floor... they also got his bag, with his wallet, phone, cd player and RHCP tickets - which is a bummer - but they're all replacable, he isn't, so it was good that he was ok. We went to Pop and had a brilliant night - much drink and dancing - it was very cool *smiles* Went to get the train home... Oh wait, that's right THEY DON'T BOTHER WITH TRAINS ON SATURDAY NIGHTS so there were 6 coaches instead of one train... surely this is more expensive? Anyway, saw Emily and we had a chat about stuff... the fact that men are bastards, and about a certain couple who have got back together... anyway, I decided drunkenly to txt Carl, who was shockingly still awake, and said I could go kip at his... so stayed on the coach to Blackpool, got there, had a brew, then went to bed - is always nice to just cuddle up with someone - can't complain at all... Today, eventually got up and came back to Preston, as Carl had some DIY to do, and I should be packing... but I'm really tired (could be the heat) so I can't be bothered... I really should though - moving on Saturday! Eek! Anyway, all is well, life is good and I'm still a bit hungry... Current Mood: happy | | Saturday, May 22nd, 2004 | | 7:14 pm |
