Long over do Update
I have not written in my journal for quite sometime. Much has happened since my last entry. I dont really know where to begin so I will record events as I recall them. Sort of a stream of concious thing.
While tracking down the Order of the Spear I lead the group to a house with a for sale sign in the yard. After investigating the house we determined that they had already moved on. However when we tried to leave we found that we were trapped in the house. While devising a way out we were treated by a visit form our advisary Edgar Torgere. The Spear himself. He yammered at us for a while. Blah blah.... humanities own good....blah blah...you cant stop me.... blah blah....none of you comprehend the power I command....blah blah. Then he listed some of the magical devices whe had at our disposal. After that he went to each of us in turn and made some attempt to break our will. Then he zipped away as he rendered us unconcious.
What happened next was different for each of us as we were all forced to face our own personal demons in a nightmarish type dream. For my dream Edgar miscalcutalted greatly. He pitted me against my old foe The Red Lady. In the dream i was 6 well before the accident that robbed my of my sight. I was in a class room and she was the teacher. I won't bore you with the details but this conjured fake was a pale imitation to the real thing that subjected me to such terror and tourture. Nice try Edgar.
Fast forward a bit and all of us but Dwayne recovered from our ordeal. As of this writing he is still in a comma and all attempts I have made to reach his mind have failed. I visit him often and take him new issues of Guns and Ammo and American Mercinary for him to read when he wakes up.
One evening we were all gathered in morrow library waiting for Willow and giles to arrrive with new information and a Blizzard rolled in (Conjured by Edgar). The moment Willow, Kennedy and Giles arrived Edgar and his cronies attacked with explosive force and an entracnce worthy of Darth Vader himself. Fortunatly all we got was a cut rate lich with delusions of granduer. With a wave of his hand he banished Willow and Giles to a dimensional limbo. He attacked us with cyber and human commandos and his own potent magics. I spent most of this battle hiding behind a table. Edgar's minions fell in a myriad of creative ways but Edgar himself was simply swatting us aside like like gnats. His magic was simply too powerful. He was force bolting the Slayers all over the room, he dispelled the A.S.S.s, he paralyzed Mitran, electrocuted Twitch, in short it was looking bad.
I observed the scene and detrmined that the only way to even hit this guy was to force him to divide his attention. So when Kennedy returned for a third time after being forcibly ejected from the library and hurled the Slayer Scythe at Edgar I popped up out of my hidy hole and hit him with my DBZ blast. (a Barrage of small magical blasts that do a very minute amount of damage but rely on a mass number of hits) inshort Edgar was so surprised by the simultaneous attacks that he could not counter either and got smoked. Or so we all thought.
Just when we were taking a breath Edgar appeared in a columb of in the library with Nick Parker by his side. At such point edgar and the human commandos left nick high and dry to our tender mercies.
Lots of drama here so I will give you the reader's digest version. Beth wanted to kill him out right, Natalie would not let her, hte rest of us were all like "...humans are for the laws of men." And Beth was all like".... what about me! ME! ME! ME! ME!" So Beth pulled a fast one, Stabbed Nick and ran. And now there is some serious bad blood between her and the slayer. ...more later |
