I never thought I'd be "homeless." Never had I fathomed the thought of not having anywhere to lay my head.... not knowing where I would spend my next night. Somehow I lived my life just knowing it wouldn't, couldn't be me. Or maybe it's just that I never gave much thought to the idea that it could be me. It's crazy how much can change overnight and just how much those changes can remold the mentality of those whose lives they affected.
I found myself going back to my Grandma's words of wisdom... "No matter how bad you think you have it there's always someone who has it worse." If you look it's never too hard to find someone who has much more to complain about than you... and just when you tell yourself "well at least I'm not living their life" that little voice in your head challenges your morals... what does that have to do with you? You couldn't be them... they must have gone wrong somewhere down the line, made some terrible mistake you won't make... right? Wrong.

A walk in your shoes
I wish I could get inside your head
To see what you see
When you look at me
Cause I could have lived your life instead" Current Mood: gratefulCurrent Music: Stacie Orrico - Instead
