5:37 pm - An update.
|
Went out last friday with officemates. Went to Sidebar in El Pueblo. It went ok, well, it started really well. We had a nice table (with a great view of the place!), the drinks kept on pouring, plus the muuusic was great (song of the moment: Gyskard's Pink Life and Arena's Never. Yeah! I have the mp3s, message me if you want it).
So there, it started well and ended quite the opposite. After 7 bottles of Miller (goodbye to Light for me, shifted to Miller) we decided to go and move to nearby Metrowalk, at Decades to be specific. We didnt take a cab, we just walked from El Pueblo to Metrowalk. That's when I started to feel really tipsy plus I can't recognize my voice anymore! Haha! I lost my voice.
So I just hanged out outside Decades while some of my officemates went in. Can't go in while I'm on a state like that. Imagine, you're trying to market yourself in a bar, trying to look cool and all-suave and when you started to talk and spark a convo, wham, it'll go downhill from there. Try doing that in semi-drunk mode with a really really coarse voice and you'll see yourself detached from the club scene in a decade.
[o][o][o]
Before pressing the "Update Journal" button I re-read the whole entry. Can't believe I wrote that words above, "market yourself".
[o][o][o]
Brother's got a new dog. Will post a picture soon. The dog's name? Chukoy. Sounds familiar?
[o][o][o]
Christmas party's on the 22nd. This year's theme? PBB. Ack! And to think I like that show, but for it to be this year's theme? Cmon. We've had enough. Ok wait, where's that headband again?
[o][o][o]
In relation to that point above, my christmas shopping is not yet done. I am not even half way through! I go to the mall to buy gifts for friends and I end up buying things for myself!
People, my wishlist.
1. Springfield sneakers (in white or blue, and surprisingly, chucks are more expensive) 2. Aquarium (teeming w/ fish of course) 3. CK Be (a classic for me) 4. An ipod Shuffle or a Nano (i have a feeling this'll be present on my christmas wishlist for 2 more years hehe) 5. A matte finish gel 6. A wristwatch 7. Messenger bag [x]
Of the 7, if I'll get number [?], I'll forget all the others. Just that one and I'll be very very very happy. People, please get me number 5!!! Nyahaha! Kidding! Of course I want number 4. Number 2 has been on my list for like, forever. I can buy it but my mom's been vocal about not having a fish for a pet. Malas daw. As for number 7, I just got it last night, not as a gift though, I bought it.

3:31 pm - Ahoy!
|
Still trying to collate all the pictures we took in Boracay, imagine, a total of 8 digital cameras excluding our camera phones! It's not actually a vacation, it was more of a photo shoot less product endorsements.
It's been three weeks already and the boracay adventure still burns hot in the office, we talk about it every lunch and during merienda breaks. Boracay is fun and to think it's not even the peak season!
Can't wait to go back there and ride the banana boat, go snorkelling, and mawawala ba ang kodakan with the stars?! Will post pictures of them, soon.
[o][o][o]
Went to ATC Powerbooks last week to check on HP6, it was still ceiling high (whew!), but sad to say I wasnt able to bring home one because I am broke, naubos sa Boracay. Waah. Even if I failed to buy one, I took a picture of it instead, pathetic! Hahaha. Hindi bale, will buy one soon.
[o][o][o]
Cant wait for the HP4 movie, Narnia, and yes, the original king of the jungle, King Kong!

MRT 3 released this cards just this week. Hmmm... politics nga naman...
Tama na yang EDSA People Power na yan, o sa Ayala pa yan o saan pang lupalop ng Maynila. Yung una ok pa, yung pangalawa pwede pa, pero isa na naman? Abuso na yata yan.
[o][o][o]
Just got back from Boracay. Wohoo! Pictures coming soon!

4:58 pm - They should pay me for this...
|
Was able to watch Mr and Mrs Smith last night. Quite dragging but i enjoyed it nevertheless. Hotness takes human form in Brangelina, too hot the screen could scorch (ok, im exaggerating... but get my point? theyre hot)
I enjoyed every frame of it but i like the one showing angelina going down the building using her bag and going direct to the taxi, whew, could give Batman a run for his money.
People behind it did a great job, well except of course for the ending, maybe they didnt want it to end (who does?!)?!
To rate the film with 6 being the highest, I'll give it a 5, uhmmm... or as Angelina well puts it, "6".
[o][o][o]
Thank god for television technology, re-runs to be more specific, forget Darna, or the lousy fairies of Encantadia, and spare yourself from the antics of Ethel Booba, catch re-runs of "Who's the Boss?" (with a very young and skinny Alyssa Milano) and the ever funny Fran Drescher's "The Nanny" on Hallmark. What's next, "Three's a company"? Bring it on.
[o][o][o]
Can't wait for the following movies to hit Philippine movie shores...
[o] War of the Worlds [o] Batman Begins [o] Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire [o] Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (with Tilda Swinton (the Angel Gabriel in Constantine) as the White Witch, can't help but this movie reminds me of LOTR and HP) [o] The Da Vinci Code [o] The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy

1:21 pm - Ahoy!
|
Four straight days of working OT and staying at the office until 12:00 am and reaching home at around 2:30 am and reporting for work at 9:00 am have reduced me to posting just pictures.

While taking our super duper long lunch break (a bit exaggerated? u judge, 12:00pm - 2:30pm, lunch at Gateway, then a game of pool downstairs), we did what we all loved doing, pose for the camera! Mukha kaming mga bangag sa dami ng shots namin.

My brothers hear nothing, see nothing when they're under the spell of a foot-long black god they call the PS2. (a cooler and slicker PS3 is coming. yay!)

12:38 am - Best gift this christmas.
|
The knick-knack ladened christmas tree at home is pleasant to look at, much more of the boxes and gifts underneath it. But there's one gift that beats them all, I got it just this friday.
( Click me if you want to know what it is )
[o][o][o]
There are things that brings us joy and happiness and those things eventually became symbols of it. The christmas tree for example, a symbol of christmas and a source of joy and laughter. I don't know what to call it but a thing that usually brings happiness could also bring the opposite. The tragedy that struck the De Venecia family continue to hound me, I always think of the girl who died on the fire, what did she do, what did she told her sister on the phone, what were here last thoughts. I feel sad for the De Venecia family (and for FPJ's family, Dolphy and the people of Quezon too). What a way to end the year.

8:26 pm - GoNuts motivation.
|
I am starting to like tiangges. Last night we went to Ruins in Paranaque to see the place and at the same time do a little christmas, what else, shopping! For all the non-South people, Ruins is like Greenhills, Ruins is the Greenhills of the south.
After rummaging the stalls, I get to buy one Spongebob bag for my lone inaanak (which I honestly dont even know the name!) and the Incredibles DVD. I am not yet done with all the buying so I'll probably go back.
Next on my "tiangge to visit" list is Cuenca somewhere in Alabang Hills.
[o][o][o]
Another proof that people are starting to take notice of my talent was when my brother's gf asked me to do her project which involves drawings! Yehey for me! I made her project without pay but maybe next time I'll ask her for a sum of money, kidding. I dont have any problems now as regards to the drawing except for its retrieval, I was not able to scan it so I have no copy. Oh well.
[o][o][o]
My brother's gf surprised me by sending me a box of GoNuts Donuts as payment for my drawings, awww. Hmmmm... donuts are not a bad source of inspiration after all, imagine, GoNuts Donuts as motivation. Sweet.

Slept at 3:00 am last night, wanted to finish Oprah's interview of Bill Clinton but my eyes were really burning. Woke up at 6:30 am to take asthma medications. Wanted to start the day early but rotacaps made me drowsy so I fell asleep again. Woke up at 2:00 pm, ate lunch, watched little tv, surfed the net, then went back to bed at 5:00 pm. I woke up at 7:30 pm and ate dinner, and here updating my journal.
I am now having a guilt trip for being very productive today.

11:12 pm - movie buff.
|
|
[o][o][o]
DC and Marvel is again pitted against each other. Marvel showed its card via Spiderman 2 while DC with the Halle Berry starrer Catwoman. Marvel scored it big with Spiderman 2. It was able to fight off the "sequel jinx" that has been plaguing hollywood lately. Too bad for DC, Catwoman is a flop. Not even the oscar winner can save the cat. Oh wait, Halle is even a bad choice to play the title role.
Like a sinking ship, the movie too drags comebacking actress Sharon Stone to the bottom of the sea (she deserves a better movie than this one). Interestingly, Stone's role here is like her own life, a star about to lose its shine. Do not watch this movie, unless of course you want to see Sharon Stone put the final nails to her own coffin, and if you also want to see Halle strut her sexy curves.
[o][o][o]
Heard that there's a new Batman movie. Batman, go and save DC.
[o][o][o]
Also heard that Eric Bana (Hulk) is the new suave, chick magnet, James Bond.

3:48 pm - Hello!
|
Hello.
Im back. At least to the blurty circulation.
WOW. I havent updated for a month! Beat that! hehehe...
[o][o][o]
April to June, I am a bakasyonista. July, I am UNEMPLOYED, istambay.
Graduated early this month, I would love to post some pics but Im too lazy to edit some so that'll have to wait. Been busy attending job fairs and going to tests and interviews. Oh, and speaking of interviews, I have a panel interview tomorrow afternoon in Metrobank. Whew.
I am planning to apply in call centers too. Tulong naman, pointers... hehehe...
[o][o][o]
Medyo badshot na ako sa mom and dad ko lately (which is also one of the reasons why i cant afford to go to dante's house). Kasi naman madaling araw na ang uwi ko, siguro tatlong araw na halos sunod sunod. Panay party na lang daw at inuman ang pinupuntahan ko. hehehe. Well, nage-enjoy lang naman ako bago ako magtrabaho.
[o][o][o]
Finally met some blurty users in the flesh. Too bad sandali lang ako nakasama sa kanila. It was nice meeting all of you. Sayang nga lang hindi pa kumpleto. Well, may next time pa naman e.
[o][o][o]
Watched IROBOT last week. Astig!
I also watched Kill Bill 2. The sequel pales in comparison to the first one in terms of blood and gore. What it lacks in action, it made up with the story. Bumawi si quentin sa story (feeling close). Hmmm... im wondering, is there a need to divide the two film?
Planning to see Catwoman (Pfiefer could have been a perfect choice, or a white actress) next week.
I can't wait for The Village. I just love Shyamalan's movies.
BIG FISH! Instant favorite ko! It reminds me of Forest Gump but with a magical twist.
Reviewnights I think finally found a replacement to Pia in the person of Bianca Gonzales. I like her. Chinita na naman.

1:31 am - The Da Vinci Code
|
a quarter more of the Da Vinci book and im done with it... blurty peeps, u'r right, The Da Vinci Code is one hell of a book! (Mr Sheldon, if u'll excuse me but i have to first attend to Mr. Brown, Doomsday Conspiracy will have to wait)...
it held me captive for hours... my daily routines came to a halt, hell, it even asked me to do some things (like go to the dining room and examine the last supper painting (to the bewilderment of the household) for reference, or check on the net the painting of Magdalene)...
im not yet done with the book but i have been shaken by it... being an agnostic and errm, a non-practicing christian, im quite delighted upon reading that im freed of the guilt of not doing and following some catholic practices...
at first u'll question if the book or revelation of the holy grail is true but come to think of it, all of the answers fell exactly in the right places, the theories makes sense... (our high school teachers way back are into dis kind of things, they even lend us rare tapes of movies about religion... im looking forward to seeing them to discuss and get some infos, and yes, borrow their Holy Blood and Holy Grail book...)
im browsing PEX forums now because i saw a thread about The Da Vinci Code movie, im quite excited on who'll play the characters... im eyeing Brown's other book Angels and Demons, but first i have to return to my bed and finish Da Vinci...

7:11 pm - i left home intact... i returned incomplete...
|
my friend doesnt have a car today so we went to Libis the hard way, by using public transpo...
my visit there in Libis today is one of my most exhausting trip ever! imagine this, i rode a jeepney out of our subd., then i boarded the bus to reach Gil Puyat, then i met my blockmate there and we went to Guadalupe using the jeepney again... then we rode the MRT up to Boni station... then boarded another jeepney... and we did this in the middle of the afternoon! i left home 10:30 am, and we reached Bayantrade at nearly 2:00 pm! i've been travelling for nearly four hours nonstop! by the time we reached Bayantrade, we're wasted...
but when we went there, Che gave us some good news... ok na kami dun! che will inform us na lang when we'll start...
salamat talaga che!
[o][o][o]
so finally, im included in the statistics... we used the MRT awhile ago going to Santolan Station, and as i was enjoying (forgive me, walang MRT sa south lol...) the sight of bustling Manila, i unknowingly let my guards down... as i was busy appreciating a birds eyeview of Manila i fell prey to the evil creatures that Manila cradles... i lost my three years old cellphone...
the MRT ride awhile ago was crowded (as usual...) i decided to plant myself beside the sliding door (to allow myself a better view...) and when we reached a certain station, 3 guys forced themselves into the "train", sobrang sikip talaga but they still forced themselves, sa sobrang sikip i am literally eating the hair of the lady in front of me! we were so crowded that the people behind and beside me was bumping into me... so i just touched my wallet w/c is in the right side of my pocket, but i forgot that i have my cellphone on the other side... kaya ayun, nakuhanan ako ng phone... i have no phone at the moment...
[o][o][o]
but im still thankful that un lang nakuha sa akin, at least i still have my wallet with me, and of course my life! hehe... sabi nung kasama ko kanina, the guy beside me sa MRT was suspicious looking, the man kept on looking at him daw... a ewan, at least ok kaming dalawa...
[o][o][o]
good thing i dont own a camera phone, or an expensive one... tawag ko nga dun jurassic phone e, i use a 3310 model phone...
kahit ganun lang phone ko, may value sa akin un... i actually bought 2 3310 nun e, one for me and one for my bro... ipon ko un when i went to Chicago... kahit na pumapalpak ung phone na un pinagtyatyagaan ko pa un... love ko un! ahehehe...
kaya para sa phone ko: salamat sa tatlong taon mong paninilbihan sa akin... ahahaha!
(im taking the whole incident lightly, im still smiling...) abnoy yata ako...
[o][o][o]
hmmm... problema ko ngayon ay ang mga number ng mga taong d ko na nakikita... pano kaya to?
