Yayyyy we won a prize on first day of Techkriti.The first year roomies... Me,Chacha and Zaggu cracked Nirmaan. It was a competition in which we had to make a bridge with the help of straws and adhesive tapes.. on a styrofoam base. This structure was to be judged on Aesthetics, Strength and Innovation of the design. Our structure successfully sustained a transverse load of 5.9 Kgs and the second was 4Kgs.So it was a big margin. Another interesting thing was a Hypnosis workshop by a reknowned hypnotist Dr. V. Nagesh of Hyderabad. This guy gave an amazing talk on the hypnotising therapies and the applications of this advanced psychological science. I never knew Hypnosis is used in crime investigation and pain killing and also in the treatment of psychological disorders. He entranced some 100 students on the stage, and left a jam packed auditorium stunned. He made them do weird things like acting like a five year old kid, and acting like a ferrywalah at the railway station. He made them pluck flowers out of nowhere and people actually were telling what flower they plucked. The show was amazing. Firstly I thought it was all a fraud and the people on the stage were acting. But then I went to talk to the people who were entranced and was surprised to know that most of them were actually entranced. I Missed the General Quiz because of this show which wasnt being conducted by Parnab Mukerjee for the first time in my stay at IITK. The coming days are gonna be fun too ... and yeah it feels so good to see soo many people wearing some tshirt desgined by you Design:
