Ruminations on bone crunching treks and photography... Just like the Lohagad trek reminded me of the existence of all the painfully fragile muscles in my body, an episode of Malcom in the Middle reminded me of the importance of a good year book picture in a man/woman('s) life.
It is extremely important to be able to look back at your school/college pictures -- when you're 50 and attempting to end your life by going on yet another trek to Lohagad -- and remember all the good things about your life then, and subsequently in the process, realizing that you probably should cancel that trek to Lohagad and concentrate on quiet, serene nostalgia instead.
Somewhere along that chain of thought I also entertained the possibility of burning down my college year book and killing the Star World programing department to have just a Malcolm in the Middle to look forward to on Sundays, but I digress. Coming back to the point, it is important to be able to pose well for pics; something I have never been able to do.
This calls for a change in perspective, but that's a lot of work, so unless I inherit a lot of money and get a professional portfolio clicked to replace all my college pictures (the likelihood of which is obviously nonexistent), I shall have to stick with the past and concentrate on avoiding the camera, which I don't need to work that hard on.
While we're on the topic of photography, I also need to buy myself a camera. Pointing the eye at someone else is always easier as a wise man once said. And if the eye is artificial, better still!
