    The New Year Saga
A couple of days back (and a couple here means more than two. It means a few. For those of you who choose to not look beyond the obvious.) I saw Y Tu Mama Tambien and I realized that I was addicted to the internet. The former has nothing to do with the latter (For those of you who still choose to not look beyond the obvious.).

However, it being a few days before the New Year 2007, I realized I had to do what most of the "civilized world" was habituated to doing: Make a New Years Resolution. Now, here's the funny thing about New Years Resolutions, they come and go like our morning ablutions. And this even rhymes. They make absofuckinlutely no sense at all, but we still keep going with the motions.

So my New Years Resolution this year is to admit that I am an Internet addict and then go ahead and write a blog post like this wishing you all a Wevy Wevy Wappy Wew Wear!!!

And yeah, do watch the movie. It's damn good and all that. (For men and/or women who belong to the category mentioned within round brackets above, has a lot of *ahem* you-know-what-I-mean sorts of scenes as well *said as censorboardishly as possible*). I bet you get this now, don't you?

"I don't really get the reasons others give for disabling/moderating comments. From the more benign -- "Emails are more personal" to the more extreme -- "I love tripping on random power". Way too obtuse. The -- "It helps me not give a flying rat's ass about what someone else has to say about the shit I write" -- reason works most well for a blogger X, IMHO.

It's this illusion of being right. Delusions of Grandeur." -- For Example.

    "The Hardest Part"

    And the hardest part
Was letting go, not taking part
    Was the hardest part

    And the strangest thing
Was waiting for that bell to ring
    It was the strangest start

I could feel it go down
Bittersweet, I could taste in my mouth
    Silver lining the cloud
    Oh and I
I wish that I could work it out

    And the hardest part
Was letting go, not taking part
    You really broke my heart

    And I tried to sing
But I couldn’t think of anything
And that was the hardest part

I could feel it go down
You left the sweetest taste in my mouth
You're a silver lining the clouds
    Oh and I
    Oh and I
I wonder what it’s all about
I wonder what it’s all about

    Everything I know is wrong
Everything I do, it's just comes undone
    And everything is torn apart

Oh and it’s the hardest part
    That’s the hardest part
    Yeah that’s the hardest part
    That’s the hardest part

I don't think people should be allowed to be depressed and write (or any other form of expression known to mankind) if they're even remotely capable, by the virtues in them relative to their talent (real or supposed), of expressing their misery well. There should be a law or something against it. Prevention of distribution of Misery Act 2007.

    I propose a bill.

....... Jeff : I think breast brains would be over-egging the woman pudding.

Jeff: Besides, you give breasts the power of independent thought
and the next thing is they don't get on.
    There's a clash of personalities.
Steve: Yeah, that so often happens with similar people in similar jobs
    working in the same bra.
    Jeff: Exactly.
Steve (thinking): ...and what if a fire broke out...
(reacting) Got me a self image to shag rate isn't it?

    - Episode "The Girl With Two Breasts" from the BBC show "Coupling"

The scripts are marvelous. Steven Moffat at his best or not. :)

    C'est Si Bon
    C'est si bon
    De partir n'im porte ou
    Bras desus bras dessous
    En chantant des chansons

    Ce'st si bon
    De se dir' desmots doux
    Des petite rien du tout
    Mais qui en dissent long

    C'est si bon
    Lovers say that in France
    When they thrill to romance
It means that itt's so good

    C'est si bon
So I say it to you
    Like the French people do
    Because it's oh, so good

    Every word, every sigh
    Every kiss, dear
    Leads to only one thought
    And it's this, dear
    Nothing else can replace
    Just your slightest embrace
And if you only would be my own
For the rest of my days
    I will whisper this phrase
    My darling, c'est si bon

-- Eartha Kitt (Something's Gotta Give OST)

The complete song translated here -- (Click ---> Link.)

Some songs (French or not) are quite as marvelous as a certain few Brit Sitcoms. :)
