I am in love with the Devil.
He is handsome, charming, suave, sexy, manipulative, devious, dangerous, and deliriously hot as hell, of which he is no longer supreme ruler, since he retired and moved to LA and opened a posh nightclub called Lux where he plays the piano.
I am babbling about Lucifer, the graphic novel series by Mike Carey that kicks some serious ass. It's based on the Lucifer character created by Neil Gaiman (and Sam Keith and Mike Dringenberg) and it's about the devil's quest to prove that he's in ultimate control of his existence. Of all the Sandman spin-offs that I've read, Lucifer is the only one that's managed to capture the feeling and depth of the original series.
I have books one, two and three and I'm pining away for four and five. I am so tempted to order them on Amazon, but I promised I'd go easy on my credit cards. I'm sort of in shopping rehab right now.
