[Faithfulness]
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself."
- 2 Timothy 2:13
This verse is awesome! It gives me security, hope, faith, and a promise in my heart. I got a question for you. How many times have you told your parents you were sorry and that you would never do what you did that was wrong again?
To be honest, I have done that a lot in my lifetime. Have your parents ever promised you to something that they didn't really mean? Well, those two questions above relate really well with this scripture in 2 Timothy.
We aren't perfect and God doesn't expect us to be. But we still need to seek after Him even though we may make mistakes. I know a lot of times when I told God that I was sorry and a few days later I was commiting that same sin again.
God isn't like our parents. They can fail us, but the GREAT news is that no matter what, our Father above will stay faithful to to each and every one of us. That is so wonderful!!! Thank God for Him always staying faithful when we are disobedient.
Diving Deeper:
Read Hebrews 11:6. What must we believe when we come to God? Is is possible for anyone to truly live for God without totally putting all their faith in Him? Think about these questions? Have you put 100% of your trust & faith in God? Pray to God and ask for a deeper faith in Him.
