[Things of the World]

"For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out."
- 1 Timothy 6:7

To me, this verse in Timothy is very plain and simple. In people's lives now days, they try to fulfill themselves with money and treasures of this earth.
They think the more stuff they have, the more happier, but instead it just makes them feel more empty. They end up working all their lives for possessions of the world that they end up losing the instance they take their last breath.
Everyone on this earth needs to recognize that nothing of the world can save them from spending eternity forever and ever in Hell. The only way they can escape that fate is through the One and Only Jesus Christ who lived to die for ALL of us.
I know it's very easy to get caught up in things of this world, but keep your heart, mind, and eyes focused upon God. We are not here to waste our lives on things that provide emptiness, but we were put on this earth to serve God and to seek things of His kingdom like it says in Matthew 6:33.

Diving Deeper:
Read 1 John 2:15-17. What does this passage say about the world? Can we love and serve God and also like the world? That answer determined a lot of questions I had about many various subjects...like secular music, movies, and other subjects? How do you think God feels when we show more of the world in us than the image of Him? Think about it!!!
