-A New Year-

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he’s a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
- 2nd Corinthians 5:17

A new year is arriving. I thought this verse would be great for this lesson. In this upcoming year of 2003, let God really use you in your daily walk with Him. He wants to, be you also must remember; we must be willing.
If you are truly saved by the blood of Jesus, then our “old ways” should be gone. We should no longer have the desire to sin anymore. All the things in our life have become new. He have a purpose for living now. We shouldn’t waste our lives on drugs, sex, music, television, video games, popularity, or anything like that.
Those things can bring you happiness, but they cannot bring you the eternal joy that Christ brings when you receive Him as your personal Lord and Savior. This next year, just really seek after God. Examine your life and see if it’s acceptable and holy to Him up above. Has there been a change in your life? Have you given up a lot of your old self and old ways, or all of it? There is a big difference there!
I know God has blessed me a lot. I still sin and struggle with problems; by no means am I telling you to be perfect. God knows we aren’t perfect in works. He wants us to strive after His will though. Jesus gave up His life for you. Can you at least give your life to Him?
Turn from your sinful nature and follow Christ. Repent of your wrong doings and seek after His face.
I know that God is really going to use our generation. We just can’t be afraid to change for Him. Forget about the world-->It’s not worth dying for. Don’t follow the crowd, follow Christ. If you are a new creation in Him, then don’t be afraid to live it. God’s right there by your side. Let Him bless your life this coming year! Open your heart, soul, mind, and eyes to His voice & will. He will respond and He’ll use a willing heart. Just remember:
“God can start a revolution with one man.”
