-What’s Your Image-
“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female, He created them.”
- Genesis 1:27
I don’t know if you’re like me, but I have been falling into sin because of my image. For teens now days you have to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, or act a certain way to fit in. If you don’t, then you will be classified as one of the “unpopular ones”.
Let me tell you right now. I have struggled with this issue a lot in my life already. I was never satisfied because I didn’t match the world’s image of a guy my age. I always compared myself, which in the end, made my self-confidence soar WAY down. Worrying about what others think of you is not worth wasting your life for.
This verse tells us that God made us exactly how we are suppose to be, which is an image of Him. He didn’t make any mistakes on us. We’re perfect looking as we are. So, don’t ever feel down about the way your hair combs or the way your eyes are colored, the way that you talk or the way that you walk, or anything that puts you down and makes you think badly about your image.
Just remember that God doesn’t make any junk. He made you exactly how you are for a specific reason, because He loves you. Don’t lower yourself down to the world’s standard of how you should look, but give all your life to the One who created you in the first place. He won’t do you wrong. He knows best.
