-Love Chain-

“My commandment is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
- John 15:12

“Love”….to you, what is love? To some people it’s a boyfriend of girlfriend or mom or dad, to others it could be a pet or interest in life. To me, “love” is the deep compassion and strong desire in my heart. God’s love isn’t just like a boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s love, but more than we can ever imagine.
God, the Creator of this world, sent His only Son to this earth to die for our sins (John 3:16). He loved us so much that no matter what we do in our lives, He will still forgive us. Nothing can ever come close to the love that God gives.
Not only did God love us, but His Son loved us to. He lived a perfect life on earth as man, then was crucified on the cross all because of the sin we commit. Even thought as He hung on the cross, He could have lifted Himself off, He didn’t. He shed His precious blood for you and your eternal life.
In this verse above, Jesus is saying to love others as He has loved us. That doesn’t necessarily mean to try to get killed by being hung on the cross, but to love others no matter what the cost. He wants us to strive to be like Him. One of the characteristics He wants us to have that He had, is His love.
In no matter what circumstance, He loves us. He doesn’t have to love us after all we have done in our lives, but He still forgives us and looks over all the sin and YES, still loves us. Isn’t it GREAT!!! No matter what you lose in your life, no matter what problem you go through; you always can stay confident knowing that you will always have the love of Jesus Christ. That’s an awesome feeling!
So really watch what you say, do, and think. Are you doing these things out of love or sin? Are you living your life in anger or in love? Do you think about people with hatred or with love? Let God control ALL of your life. Let Him turn your sinful ways into His pure ways. Let Him make an eternal difference in your life, by receiving His wonderful love and joy. Believe me, once you get it, it’s contagious.
