11:13PM - ~Devotion #01~

Psalm 89:33-34
"Neverless, I will never take my love away from him, Nor will I allow my faithfulness to fail. My covenant I will not break, Nor will I alter the words that have gone off my lips."

* Picture this: You are in school, sitting in your last hour class. It is the last day of school for this year. You look at your clock and you still have 20 minutes until class is over. You sit quietly in your seat waiting for that bell to sound telling you to go home for the summer. You look around the class room for (it seems) the longest. Then you glance back up at the clock on the wall. Now, you have 19 minutes left.
* Have you ever been in this situation. You wait and wait as patiently as you can, but the situation seems like it "lasts forever". I know I have.
* Even though it may seem as if you were looking at the clock forever, the truth is - you weren't. Even though you thought the seconds went by slower and slower each time you glanced - they didnt.
* A lot of things seem like they last forever; whether it's time, your parent's lectures, classes, or waiting on those dumb commercials to end when you are watching a new episode of your favorite tv show.
* The GREAT thing is, those things don't last forever. One of the things that does last forever is God's covenants. He says in the verses above that, He will never take away the love He has given us.
* No matter what we say, think, or do; God will never quit loving us. His love is everlasting.
* No matter how many times we stray far from God and we disobey Him; He always stays faithful to us. He always waits patiently for us to come back to Him.
* God says in verse 34, that He will never ever take away from of the covenant He has promised. He will never take away the love, salvation, mercy, and forgiveness He's promised us. He doesn't lack on His words. He doesn't change the words that He speaks, even though we break our promises to Him.
* God showed His love to people hundreds of years ago. He is still showing His love upon us now. He will never take back the words He has spoken.
* Who or what are you putting your faith in? Is it or are they going to last forever? Examine what you trust in your life. Who do you rely on to give you the important things that will last forever?
* My refuge is God. He will never leave me, nor forsake me. He will not and cannot break His promises. He is my all and all. How about you???
