Went with Mom & brother to the church for a Thanksgiving potluck. It was a nice production & the food was pretty good. The stuffing/dressing looked disgusting & I didn't go near it...but the rest was OK.
I spent the earlier part of the day out shopping for pound cake fixin's & cat food & other stuff. (no...no cat food flavor pound cake)(a scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation just came to mind for some unknown reason...Hmmm.....) Anyway, that's what I did today.
I have my follow-up appt with the dentist at 10:30 tomorrow morning. It should be lots of fun.
I saw my brother's Christmas list this evening. It was about as expected. (i.e. the same things as last year). I'm not really sure what I would like this year. Once again, I am at the point of not really NEEDING anything. There is one thing on my list that Mom said she is already going to get me. The item could be very useful. Other than that, my mind is blank
The pound cake request list this year so far, is for 1 pumpkin, 1 plain & 1 multi-flavor. I am strongly debating doing a dark chocolate / cherry flavor one again this year cuz it was sooooo yummy last year. Time will tell. I had to invest in some more special loaf pans since all but 1 of mine ended up left at the old place - either that or the ex swiped them....who knows. Aside from certain main ingrediants, I suppose I am set for production to begin. My new oven (new to me, anyway...) works very well. It is electric instead of gas.
So... since there's nothing else on my mind that I feel like sharing with you all, I guess I'll go see if my stuff is out of the dryer yet...and/or beat Mom at another game of Shanghai.
