Your Score: Dorothy

You scored 87% Oz Wizardry!

Ah yes, you are truly worthy of Oz. You know how to get over the rainbow and why there's no place like home. You have traveled the yellow brick road, made friends, defeated a witch, humbled a wizard, and survived a concussion. Ouch.... So lie down and wait out the dizziness. You should be proud! Good job! Kudos to you and your mad Oz wizardry!

7:20PM - A Fair Day

Bill & I made a trek down to the Arizona State Fair this morning. We parked by the Capital again cuz we're cheap. We arrived around 10am and did a bit of looking around. I remember in years past, MUCH more stuff going on at the fair than what I saw today. All the yummy food was there. There wasn't anything new & exciting in the "deep fried" category, so I wasn't tempted. [Deep-fried Dr Pepper came close. So did the deep-fried cheesecake. However, I didn't cave...] I got the corn dog out of the way first. It was made with turkey dogs, so I guess that made it more healthy...or as much as it COULD be. We went on a couple of the rides. Our yearly tradition is the "log ride". We got nicely soaked. I got an ear of roasted corn & was given a second one at no charge because the first had a section that had gotten burned. Both were yummy (not the burned part). We continued over to the coliseum and roamed around in there - looking at the art exhibits.
My brother talked me into going on BOTH of the Ferris Wheels, which did nasty things as far as my fear of heights is concerned. I tensed up pretty bad on the first one - the 2nd wasn't quite as bad....it was more of a "box", as opposed to an "upside-down saucer" like the first was. I had to soothe my shatterred nerves with fresh-squeezed lemonade. It was yummy.
We went back into the Commercial Exhibit Bldg and roamed around in there looking at all of the "As Seen on TV"-type stuff they were selling. I visited the Watkins booth and was a bit disappointed by the selection, but added some things to my baking stash anyway.
The concert tonight was the Steve Miller Band, whom I am not especially interested in [edit: they were there the night BEFORE we were there.], so we went for a final roam around, I got some of my diet busting fry bread w/ cheese before we went back out to the bus and went back to my truck & left.
It was warm & sunny outside (mid/upper 80's) & felt nice.

Back to my usual dull boring routine now.......

Current mood: tired
