The first of December already? Yup...According to the Owl Calendar on the wall (or my "Have a Day" calendar on the other wall) today is the beginning of the end of 2006. This is usually when everyone is saying things like "Where did the year go...It went by so fast...." and stuff like that. I think that as we get older, time moves faster. I can't explain exactly why, but that's what it feels like.
It was down into the mid 30's again last night. I had an extra layer on that time - just in case. I'm glad I did. The whole week at work has been pretty boring. Not much is going on. I am, once again, asking myself if anyone is really noticeing what we do out there or if we're just spinning our wheels with "busy work". Perhaps we are... As long as the checks don't bounce, I suppose I really shouldn't care one way or another??
The Wish List (as of now)
1. I wish my Family, Friends & Self have an improved financial situation. Most of us could use some improving in this area.
2. I wish that one God was good enough for everyone.
3. I wish that I didn't take criticism and/or sleights from others as seriously & personally as I do sometimes.
4. I wish I had a job I actually enjoyed instead of one I do just to get the bills paid.
5. I wish I hadn't inherited Dad's hairline & waistline....
6. I wish that I could find "Miss Right", although it's still not an immediate thing..
7. I wish Ozzy had more time to spend on herself instead of having to do for others so much.
8. I wish Jon finds Mr. Right, loses the rest of the weight he wants to, and cultivates a little more "depth".
9. I wish My Twin has more moments in her life where she feels truly Happy.
10. I wish "the ex" would pay back what she owes me. (no comment)
11. I wish I had the willpower to domp this extra 30 lbs & keep it off!!
12. I wish Universal Equality were the Rule & not an occasional exception to it when it's comfortable to do so.
13. I wish Jack in the Box would bring back Toasted Ravioli.
14. I wish fat, sugar & starch were "diet foods".
15. I wish "rap" would just go away.
16. I wish my online friends lived closer.
17. I wish it rained a little more down here than it does.
18. I wish we'd have a candidate running for President that we actually felt good about voting for instead of choosing between the lesser of the Evils...
19. I wish gas would go back under $2.00/gal
20. I wish I could be more organized & less of a messy slob (yes - it's kinda bad)
21. I wish my cute widdle puddy-tat didn't ravage the furniture so much.
22. I wish I could get at least 8 hours of actual sleep at a time more often.
23. I wish I remembered my dreams more often.
24. I wish I could write with the depth that My Twin does.
25. I wish I had a cup of tea right now. I think I'll go get the water going.....
