What type of person do you attract?
Your Result: You attract geeks!

Your stunning intellect and love of sci-fi and video games allures the geeks like nothing else. Maybe it is the sparkle in your eye that makes them want to text you, who knows. Geeks make good partners, but tend to be arguementative. If you are a TRUE geek magnet, you will know if that was spelled correctly, and actually care. If it is a bad-boy/bad-girl you are seeking, you are barking up the wrong tree, unless they are just 'bad' behind a PS2 console.

You attract artsy people!
You attract models!
You attract unstable people!
You attract Yuppies!
You attract rednecks!

I should have posted this sooner, but my Most Worthy (glue addict) Older Twin Sister has charged me with the task of writing an entry about Guy Fawkes Day (Nov 5th) since I had expressed no clue whatsoever as to who he was or what he did, in a previous journal entry. So...I did a little digging.

Guy was a guy (obviously?) who lived in England 1570 - 1606. He was Catholic & has issues with Protestant King James I (or James VI of Scotland - same person). He was part of a group of similar minded blokes who thought it would be jolly good fun to blow up Parliment and thus assassinate the King and the members of Parliment too. This group loaded up the underground area of Westminster Palace with enough explosives to do adequate damage & waited for the session to open. The group was large enough that secrets were not able to be kept as well as hoped for. Word got out of their plot & they were all rounded up, convicted & executed. Guy Fawkes was the most high profile member of this lot, so he gets his name on the holiday that celebrates this event that (fortunately) never took place. He was executed 31 January 1606.

I suppose if we had this sort of holiday in the U.S., It would be something like "Benedict Arnold Day". Since we're no longer part of the British Empire, we don't celebrate this day...even though some calendars list it. I don't think I'd get time & a half for it anyway, so whatever...... The day is celebrated with fireworks and the burning in effegy of Guy Fawkes. Sounds like fun, no???

Work went well last night, in spite of it supposed to be a day off. Who am I to turn down some overtime when it's all but disappeared due to the schedule being all filled in now?? P-1 did my first 4 hits, which left me with about 22 to do. Yawn!!

Off to visit with the parents now. Toodle-ooo.

For some reason, I feel different. Over the last week, it has felt like there is a change going on in me that I can't quite understand. It's hard to put into words. It feels "stable" for lack of a better term. I feel more connected to the world around me - and the people around me. I feel acceptance. I am where I need to be. I have no idea if it has anything to do with the full moon hovering outside in the hazy night sky, but I like it.
