I began feeling generally crappy soon after arriving at work last night. I felt weak, light-headed, achy, tired and dehydrated. I have not gotten to the stage where I'm coughing my lungs up every few minutes and hopefully, I WON'T get to that point. Since I didn't have any of that yummy Nyquil stuff, I went with the Alka-Seltzer Cold stuff (orange flavor).
As to my not getting a goodie bag from the office - I was told that they were only given to the patrol officers who actually worked Christmas Day. They were also not given out by my branch manager, but by the Area V.P. Nice to know my meaninglessness at this company goes that high up...
My supervisor also told me that she was just diagnosed with breast cancer and will be having biopsies and probably some radiation beginning early next month. She wanted to know if I could come in and work New Year's Eve since she was having a BIG party at her place for around 30 out-of-town relatives. I said "Sure".
Work was annoying last night - aside from my seemingly trying to come down with something. All it takes is having to respond to an alarm when I have a nice comfy 1/2 hour time surplus to mess things up. I got out of the office around 5:45 this morning, which isn't too bad I guess. My cell phone battery only had half a charge on it, so it died after about 45 minutes or so while I was chatting w/ Ozzy. It's on the charger now.
Anyhooo, I'm gonna go get some sleep now....the cat willing....
