Had a semi-interesting day today. Part of it began yesterday when I received a box in the mail. I had been at our Renaissance Festival last March and had ordered some custom-made shoes. I got them now...in December. They had said late summer / early fall.....close, I guess....
I am going in to work on Monday to assist in covering one of our open positions, so I decided to go over to the parent's place and get some wash done. I am wearing the new shoes and trying to get the things broken in. It may work eventually....While here, Mom & Bill talked me into going with them to the APS Electric Light Parade that was taking place on Central Avenue tonight, starting at 7:00pm. Lots of the same people had the same idea and we ended up parking at 7th Avenue & Missouri and walking the rest of the way. A few of the "floats" were impressive. They didn't make me feel any better about being stuck in the middle of a social sardine can. It lasted for an hour. We brought lfolding chairs, but would not be able to see any of the floats if we used them. So....we ended up standing the whole time. My shoes got broken in and me feet felt broken too....
Next week, Mom & I are going to be making Julekaka, Pound cakes, glogg & potato sausage.....AND Rum Balls if time & energy permit. Tune in later.....
