It's a promotional copy of Stanley Climbfall, he found it in a small record store in Dublin, and thought I might like it. And I do, I do, I do! Yay! *does a happy dance*

Bliss? Blyss?
the band that evolved into what we know as Lifehouse today was originally a worship band at the Malibu Vineyard [see below] named Bliss (and later changed to Blyss). when they were signed to Dreamworks they had to change their name because another band was using it.

Diff?
Diff, whose real name is Jon Palmer, was the original drummer for Blyss and the drummer heard on some of the tracks of No Name Face, along with a studio drummer. he was replaced by current drummer Rick Woolstenhulme in the summer of 2000.

Diff's Lucky Day?
Diff's Lucky Day (DLD) is the demo album made by Blyss. a handful of the tracks on No Name Face were orginally recorded on this album, which is not available in stores. only about 100 copies of the Bliss version were made, and only about 1000 of the Blyss version. most of them are owned by friends and family of the original band members. occasionally copies are auctioned on eBay, but usually carry a hefty price tag.

Christians?
although its members are Christians, Lifehouse is NOT a Christian band. Jason prefers to leave all of his songs up to individual interpretation. click [here] for more information.

Malibu Vineyard / FKA?
both Jason and Sergio formerly attended the Malibu Vineyard, a christian church in Malibu, CA. Formerly Known As (FKA) is the youth group for the Vineyard and hosted a worship service with Jason, Sergio, and Diff on August 3, 2001. neither band member is still associated with the Vineyard presently.

Sparrow Records?
Lifehouse has a deal with Sparrow Records for distribution in the Christian Marketplace. they still call Dreamworks their home label, and the deal does not change any statements made on the nature of being a Christian band.

Worship Album?
Jason's deal with Dreamworks includes three albums. the third album on the current contract may be a worship album, produced under the band name Mr. Tumnus and distributed by Sparrow Records. an album of this nature has always been part of Jason's plan.

Other Members?
Lifehouse is a 4-piece band, but early promotional photos included Jon Palmer (the original drummer) and Aaron Lord (played viola on NNF) - however, they are not members of Lifehouse. other photos include [Stuart Mathis], who toured with Lifehouse as a guitarist until summer 2001, but who was not a member of the band. Sean Woolstenhulme (Rick's younger brother) became the touring guitarist for the band in the summer of 2002 and is now a full and permanent member.

Why No Name Face?
Lifehouse's debut album was named after a track which failed to make the final cut for the record.

DVD?
select independent music stores around the country distributed a free DVD with the purchase of Stanley Climbfall. the disc included tracks "Wash", "Am I Ever Gonna Find Out", and "Spin" while Jason, Sergio, and Rick talked about making the new album.

Secret Site?
the Stanley Climbfall CD is enhanced with a secret site which can only be accessed with the CD in the disk drive. the site includes "Sky Is Falling (acoustic)", "What's Wrong With That", a peek at the beginning of the DVD and "Spin" live from Amsterdam.

"Other" Songs?
there are quite a few songs found in the [other songs] section that cannot be found on either of the mainstream albums or on Diff's Lucky Day [see below]. these songs include tracks written for other artists and soundtracks, songs played live on tour in 2001 that did not make Stanley Climbfall, worship songs from the Malibu Vineyard, and several songs recorded for albums that did not make the final cut.

Fuse?
contrary to popular music search engines, the Lifehouse album entitled Fuse is NOT an album from this Lifehouse.

So I was wondering, who here is a Christian? I mean Lifehouse is a very spiritual band and the members are Christians, or so they say, and i was just wondering how many brothers and sisters I got in this community. It's funny cuz in xnga, they're called blogs. Here, it's like family. A community. Gotta love it. So tell me, who?

Okay, folks, here it is! the not-so-long-awaited

~The Question of the Week~
When did you first hear about Lifehouse? What makes you such a big fan today?

Okay, so it's a little lame...but I've had a long day! I guess I'll answer it now! I first heard about Lifehouse back in the Hanging by a Moment days, but wasn't really into music, i just turned on the radio every now and then. Eventually I got more and more interested in different artists and on August 7, 2001 I went to see Lifehouse play at the Ohio State Fair and totally fell in love. The next day I bought No Name Face and I've been obsessed ever since. :D ~Annie~

So I am new to this community, I am new to Blurty for that matter, so you all gotta tolerate me and if you're especially nice, show me the ropes 'round here. I am coming from a month of xanga, so u got a baby on your hands.Ü I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Lifehouse. Never ever hesitate to chat w/ me about them. Jason Wade would be mine if he weren't married. I've been a fan since 7th grade and I am now in 10th. Although I have only been to one concert, which u can read about on my site, I intend on going to many more. Why do I love them? Everything (good song) from their deep lyrics to Jason's ultra sultry voice is just magnetic. *love for Lifehouse* And I have to say that Lifehouse has definitely improved since they got Sean in on the scene, can I get an amen? Not that they needed improvement, but they are just better than ever. *kisses*

Hey, new member here. I recently saw the guys at Shepherd's Bush in London when they played on Wednesday. It was a totally amazing experience, and I took a ton of pictures which hopefully are getting developed right now :D The atmosphere was incredible, and the guys put on a flawless performance! I wished I'd bought tickets for all three nights, despite the fact I probably would have collapsed, it would have been worth it I'm sure :P

My concert.... [22 Jun 2003|06:23pm]

[ music | "God's Lemonade" Blyss ]

Hey everyone! Well, I just got back from my only second Lifehouse concert ever! (kinda sad..) Well, this is just the overview of how it went on with my backstage passes and everything, and I think it may be a little long! But enjoy!

So my friend and I arrive on the scene (supposed to be there at 7:00, so we get there around 6:30) but I guess if you had the special "meet and greet" things or whatever, then we had to wait for all of the winners to come before we could go in. So my friend, Becca, and I are standing by the radio station van like they had told us, but no one is there...so we decided to go into the office/window/ticket sale place for the theatre. And I walk in there, and lo and behold, Serge is standing right there behind the counter! Ok, I promised myself I wouldn't forget what I was going to say, but it was the first time that I had actually ever SEEN any of the guys in up-close real life. So, naturally, I forgot everything I was ever going to say to him, and just sorta stand there and smile at him. Oh gosh, it was horrible! But he was just like, "Hi?" lol And so I said "hi"back and everything, and some guy who was there with Serge was just laughing and then he says "hah! Serge, you only get the girls who smile at ya! " So I was embarassed, but it was cool. Then we found out we WERE supposed to wait by the van, so we get out of there and just hang out waiting for the other winners to show up.

Finally, after about 45 min. ther other group shows up. So we go around to the back of the theatre and they take some pictures of us all for the radio station website or something like that. Then the stage people come out and told us all that we needed to go inside and the guys were in there. So we go in the door, and they were like, RIGHT there. The people set up this overturned giant box thingy for them to autograph on, and they give us all promotional posters for them to sign. Which I thought was really cool because 1. it was a poster I was contemplating buying off of ebay, so now i don't have to, and 2. becasue that meant I had a new poster for my wall AND it'd be autographed! So we get those and I was first in line *hehe* and I place my poster down for them to sign. And I'm sorry, but they sorta reminded me of piranhas, because they all bent down and started signing my poster at the exact same time, and you all know how quickly they sign things now days. So I just amused my self for a few seconds with that. Then they all looked up, and Serge looked at me and said, "Oh hey! It's you again! How are ya?" So I told him that I was doing excellent and asked if I could get a picture with the whole band. So the I got in the middle of them all and we all smiled and did normal things ya do for a picture. But it was my LAST picture on that roll, and I was soo depressed...of course though, I had another roll. The mean guy just wouldn't give me time to change rolls before I left for more pics with the guys...

Anyways! After the picture, Serge asked me what was wrong, lol, and I just told him I was nervous cause it was my first time meeting them, and that I've been a fan for oh, 2 and a 1/2 years, and whatnot. and he just laughed and was really sweet the whole time. He just shook my hands a couple of times, told me not to be nervous, he was glad I could come, and so on and so forth. I didn't really get a chance to talk with any of the other guys though... they were too preoccupied signing other things and taking pictures I guess. But I did get Jason to sign this picture that I recieved from a friend in Germany of when she met them. So I guess I talked with him, but only briefly.

After we had to leave, they gave us tickets to go into the actual concert place, and so we went around and got in through there. It was realy haerd getting up to the front though, because there were a lot of rude people actually and they would not let us through for the life of them...but then we found this group of guys, all about who were, I swear, at LEAST 6 foot, in front of us! So we just started talking with them and everything, and it turned out that they were friends with Serge and Jason from back when they played at the Malibu Vinyard and were going out with them after the show that night to hang out. So they saw how much we wanted to get ahead of them and everything, so they let us go in front, which was really sweet of them.

All of the pictures that I took during the show and metting and everything I'm getting developed tomorrow and hopfully I can scan them on my computer to show you guys...if ya wanna see them and all. We were actually really close though, like, one person in front of me and the gate/bar close

The opening band, Fiction Plane, they were realy good. I really liked a lot of their music and they had a very good stage presence. But when Lifehouse came out, omg, amazing!!! Lol! They were soooo good! Jason was absolutely wonderful, and they all did so well. Sean, did and awesome job on his guitar! I had never seen him play before, and really amazed me for the most part. I couldn't write down the setlist, but it was the same as what someone previously stated on here. During the show, the guys that were behind us, kept yelling out for "Simon" between songs, you know we ALL wanted to hear it, but Jason didn't play it... Then one of the guys yelled out "Storm" and Jason was all, "Dang! You guys know ALL of our old songs, huh?! Well, too bad, I wanna play something new tonight! " It was really funny! And yeah. That's all! I had the best time of my life, but now I wish I could do it all over again! It is rather sad after concerts!

I <3 Lifehouse! [22 Jun 2003|07:22pm]

imacgal1978
This might be the coolest thing that ever happened in my life, so I might as well tell it. In April, I found out that Lifehouse was going to be playing at my school, so I skipped work to go to the concert. I ended up going to the concert & lucky me...I ended up being among a group of people who got to meet them after the show!

I have a T-shirt that's signed by all four members of the band! And to think, half of my friends ditched the concert halfway through it.

And I have a Lifehouse fansite too @ http://hangingbyamoment.filetap.com/
