I woke up to an Olympic match, Finland vs. Germany women's hockey. Let me tell you: These women are slim and they skate like ROCKETS. Not too crazy about the checking; they focus a lot on skill. Every time a team slid - or, rather, SKATED AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT - down the ice, there was a scoring chance and no rebound from Finland, at least. They beat the Deutsches 3-0.

Actually there's women's hockey on all day today between CNBC and USA. Awe-sum. You go girls. I still hate you Cammi.

Apparently The White Countess didn't open yesterday. And I'm not pleased about that. They definitely CHANGED it so that they could show Capote for another six billion years, and I heard it wasn't even that GOOD. And no one should be allowed to talk like that for ninety-eight minutes. You assholes! Now I have to make special plans to hurry up and see it before it's gone. Douchebags!!!!! GIVE ME MY RAYFANIEL.

Oh! Wait! We're going to see Munich instead, and Moritz Bleibtreu is in it. AND I LOVE MY BLEIBTREU. So it looks like things worked out slightly okay. Plus, it's all about Deutschland for me these days. And I'm interested in the subject matter. Matthew Macfadyen from Pride & Prejudice, you're on hold.

I would have paid $100 to be at the Stadlers' last night.

Edit: Okay, okay, FINE! I will review the Premiership League and get back to you with a revised decision. But we're still going to have futbol battles at school.

Hilary.

Though I don't want to support a fixed league - isn't it the biggest in England? Not a surprise - how about West Ham United? They seem like the English football equivalent of the Penguins.

Scunthorpe United will be like the minors, like the Baby Pens, because I have a prefixed thing about Scunthorpe. Just for England.

And I think I'll look around a bit more.

I wasn't playing arand. Women's Olympic hockey is on literally all day (Russia just lost to Sweden, which was bullshit) and it's great. Support these ladies. Give them your time and your ratings. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday, while doing laundry, than watching these highly skilled human beings, wombs and all, dominate on the ice.

I love the ice. I love hockey rinks. I'm learning to appreciate football fields. After my doctor's appointment this morning, I love sports even more. Black and white. Win or lose. Always another day. Yes ma'am, indeed sir. All I need.

I thought that women's football was much more prominent. But look at the leagues - are there women's leagues in England and Europe? What league is there with all women that's garnered as much attention as the NHL, NFL, or NBA? Women's basketball comes to mind. It's gotten a lot more attention lately, but not near as much as the men's.

This is a hierarchal world, ladies. And I'm just a messenger.

And, I can't believe I forgot to celebrate this. The Pens lost how many? Fourteen? Before they beat Carolina last night. Thank the goddesses for Sidney Crosby. I owe him so much of my sanity.
