I wrote lots of this with a calm head, actually. And I did end up watching the Super Bowl (two words, my bad) at my dad's and had a great time. It wasn't worth it for him, though; it was worth it to see the lady that my stepmom invited, an English teacher at the school she works at. This woman was so emotional - like me if it were the NHL playoffs - and at one point she just looked like she was suffering so much, and I patted her with a smile and she looked at me in agony and just groaned and like fell into me, and I hugged her. Ha ha! That made my life! She hugged me again, like, REALLY tight, when we won. Scary game. If the Seahawks are the best the NFC has to offer.... And I don't even know football.

OH YES! P.P.S.! I heard "Move Along" by The All-American Rejects on MTV last week, and I think because the video was average I couldn't get too excited about it. But I woke up with it in my head this morning, downloaded it onto the Pod, and it BLEW ME AWAY! It reminded me of the Steelers and nominated itself for the Pens' end-of-the-year better-luck-next-year reel. Last year it was "Dare You To Move," which was moving but a little lame. "Move Along" is more hopeful for the boys. It's catchy and delicious and I just gobble it up. And I'm going to see them in April!

In our final home game, once more, we play a crappy team that I care nothing about. (Last season it was Washington, and not only were they without Alexander Ovechkin, they were without anyone of any interest to me. It's virtually the same with the Isles, give or take a surprise deadline trade.)
Tickets are on sale now for the final game. It's Monday, April 17, at 7:30. We don't have school that month, in case you were flipping your lid.
D level seats are $50. C levels jump to $75. I'm aiming for around there because I'm greedy, and because E is my worst nightmare. I sat in F balcony for last year's last game and every time I think about it, the theme song from The Jeffersons pops up: "Movin' on up (moooovin' on up!)"
I'm going to call the Pens tonight, for sure (LoL, yes, going to just call them up, them as a team), to find out about plans, because the info on the site is vague.

Two tragedies I have become aware of today.
Betty Friedan, a pioneering feminist, died on Saturday. She wrote The Feminine Mystique, which I remember Mz Kay mentioning when we were learning about the '60s.
And Ralph Fiennes has broken my heart YET AGAIN. He cheated on his first wife and now, allegedly, he's been cheating on his longtime lover, the 61-year-old whom I still think is a witch. This, however, is like - it's gross, at this point. I'm leaning more towards the side that it may be true, that maybe he plays the man who steals your woman so well because he's unable to commit and he's just got to drag his whiny, moody, shifty ass around searching for a true love that his pained Shakespearean heart will never find. Maybe it's his mother's unstable genes. I don't know. All I know is, stop the hating. Oh, Rayfaniel. I absolutely love Rafe but he's making life difficult.
