i don't know why i didn't see it there before! [01 Feb 2006|02:20pm]
Ralph Fiennes saw Hitch, and he liked it. Tells volumes!

I'm reading The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time by Mark Haddon. I went to the national teachers o' English conference in November and went to a seminar taught by Australian English teachers. Ahhhhh. Their harmonious speech melodies nearly lulled me to sleep. The tall one read excerpts of the beginning of that book to us, and so since I've begun reading it I've been reading it in an English accent. Not quite Australian, because I don't have much experience with the Auzzies.

There's no point to this post except to say that while I was coming onto the busway I realized that I should probably move to England. They speak my language with lovely and varied accents. Their men can be incredibly old-fashionedly handsome and with strong jawlines like mad. They have beautiful names for their places and people - Popplewell, Wellesden, Brighton, yadda yadda, Eccleston - and they're all white. JUST KIDDING! But I'm going to grab a white man when I get there.
