: Take me out to the ballgame!
Last night, my dad and I went to see the Rangers vs the Red Sox at the Ballpark in Arlington. This was my first major league baseball game, and I found the experience pretty neat.
The Rangers won, 7 to 2.
We got to go through the Legends of Baseball museum, eat some good burgers and snacks, and I got to pick up a book of postcards. (Unfortunately, every single postcard in the book was exactly the same. Which kinda defeats the purpose of a $15 book of postcards, ne?)
Unfortunately, truth be told, baseball isn't exactly that interesting of a sport. It's hard to see what's going on, even harder to see whether it's a strike or a ball. Or where the ball goes when they actually hit something. And if the teams are good, not much actually happens! The Rangers, fortunately, did have a habit of stealing second base. And that was about the only thing I had a good view of.
The best part of the evening, hands down, was getting to do the wave. Someone in our section decided to start the wave, and after a couple of failed tries, we got it going around the entire ballpark, all three levels, three whole times! We literally spent an entire inning doing the wave!! And like all things that seem to be done in unison by a large number of people, it was truly magical.
Current Lips: a baseball
