7:56pm: Holy Picspam, Batman!
A tour of my vacation... in pictures!!

Thursday

Here we are in our MmmK shirts. If you don't know what MmmK is, then... you won't get it.

We started our day off in the international district. Where I saw this fountain, laughed at amusing signs like the one above this shop and then took a break to eat this creampuff.

After a brief stop at city hall, we eventually made it to the Gum Wall and of course, Pikes Market. There was so much we wanted to buy, but couldn't. So we took pictures of it instead - flowers, fresh produce, gummy bears ,Ocarinas... Yes, our gaming fandoms are showing. And we stopped by the world famous fish market. I was even invited behind the counter to pose with some of the guys. After all, I'd come all the way from Texas!!

We saw the the original Starbucks. At first, I was a little nervous... But eventually, I bought something. But not the cup I'm holding in this picture. I bought something far more disposable. And didn't really drink much of it.

I was spending far too much time being an obvious tourist.

That, and making sure we photographed this gay pigeon. Long story. Okay, not really. It's just funny.

Of course, most of the day was spent hiking to this cemetery in search of Bruce Lee's grave.

Not only did we find it, but I was also treated to one of the most incredible views I've ever witnessed of my very first mountains!

Next stop was the Space Needle. And then the monorail over to the convention to pick up our tickets.

Friday

Seto Kaiba and Mokuba Kaiba take Sakura-con by storm!!

Well, first, we take a trip to Starbucks. Because that's exactly what any Seto Kaiba would do at seven in the morning. After all, the other people playing childrens' card games didn't get there until almost ten. And we didn't find these guys until mid afternoon!

We enjoyed a very Kaiba-like lunch at an exclusive restaurant. Hey, when you're at a con, the Cheesecake Factory can be quite exclusive. (We didn't really ring up a $1,000+ tab... Any more than I sign my credit card receipts with the name Seto Kaiba...) See? the cups have lemons in them and the fried zucchini comes with a garnish.

We spent a lot of time in the dealers room.

We tried on authentic Japanese schoolboy uniforms. It was so cool and we looked so good in them!! We just had to take more pictures. hmm? In a variety of poses.

And then we found the tower of Pink Godzilla plushies. And the corsetry booth where I discovered that overbust corsets are so much more flattering to my figure than underbust ones.

Saturday

I was so proud of our prison costumes. Not only did they match the brand new flavor of Pocky we bought, but they certainly proved themselves useful for fun photos.

Unfortunately, they also proved themselves useful for crazy people to torture us with their presence. Yes, this is really how I felt.

And although we fought the good fight, Kira still won. a couple of times....

Sunday

On Sunday, we were a little more normal. But then again, that's comparing us to people like this and this... Or the pajama!L or the pregnant!L....

We had our pick of things to do - like try on the school jackets again. I really need to buy one of these jackets just to wear around. I loved it.

Oh, and I got to try on several Matts while I was at it, and kidnap an Anzu.

Sadly, the one thing I didn't do was get enough pictures taken... lol.
